Here are the most common and frequent questions that we keep seeing on the Asian Rare daily thread. We thought it would be a good idea to compile them so you would have your answer before you asked them.


1. What’s an Asian rare?
It is the rare offered in the Asian Curio Shop.

2. Do I have to have an Asian account to get the Asian rare?
Yes, you have to have an Asian account to shop at the Asian Curio Shop.

3. How do I get an Asian account?
When you go to www.webkinz.com, you

1. Select New Member.
2. Select Make a New Account - Click OK.
3. Choose a Country in the Asian Time Zone. Once you do, you will get a message that says
you will be playing in Japan Standard Time.
4. Follow the directions until you are finished.

4. Do I have to speak another language to have an Asian account?
No. ALL zones are in English.

5. How do I login to my Asian account? Do I need to use the links given below?
You login just like you do with your US account. The main use of the links below is to allow you to open multiple accounts at the same time. Note that the window will be skewed and you might not be able to see the full screen. If you are looking for the full screen, use the normal www.webkinz.com login screen.

6. What is the rare on the Asian accounts?
There is no advanced notice for the rares offered in the Asian Curio Shop. The only way we know what Arte is offering is to be there at the time he offers the rare.

7. The date is for tomorrow, do I come back then?
No, the Asian KT is US KT + 14 hours. For example, Friday 6pm US KT is Saturday 8am Asian KT. Refer to the chart in #18 to find out the exact time where you live.

8. Can I Kinzpost between my Asian and US/Euro accounts?
Yes, you can kinzpost to/from your Asian acounts from/to your all accounts regardless of their zone.

9. What/When is the Asian rare?
At the start of each day, whoever is manning the Asian thread will post the time AND update the title of the thread to reflect that time. When that time comes, that same person will report within a post what Arte is offering AND update the title of the thread to reflect that offering. There are also notifications at the top of the forums that are updated by the WI staff.

10. Do we know if there will be a double rare?
No. Arte will update his response at the top of each hour. If he offers a rare at say NoonKT, we will not know if there is another rare that day until 1pmKT. Again, the person manning the daily thread will update as necessary and the Notifications up top will also be updated.

11. How much will the Asian rare cost?
Refer to the GEV for the prices of all RARES offered by Arte.

12. Do we know what the rare is ahead of time?
No. Since the sync'ing of the curios, the Asian CS offering leads the pack.

13. How can I know when and where a rare has been offered?
Check out the following links to see info about AC, Medieval, Egyptian, Science, Aztec Rare Tracking. This is also another good site: CS Tracking.

14. Do we know what the rare is for the US/Euro accounts?
Yes, since the sync'ing, the US/Euro CS will offer what the Asian CS offers.

15. Are there different rares for the different zones?
No, not any more. Now they all offer the same item at the same corresponding times.

16. How do I fund my Asian account?
You can adopt another pet on the account. You can send kinzcoins. You can purchase oakpools (use coupons) and send them. When you resell the pool, you get half of their purchase price back. Most people use their WS coupons to offset the cost of doing this. If you use a 50% coupon, you'll only be out the shipping costs and will break even at the WS. If you use 60% or higher, you will come out ahead on the second account when you resell. You can play games, garden, etc. Basically, anyway you earn money on your main account you can earn money on your Asian account.

17. How do I open up multiple login windows?
You can use either one of these links:

18. What time is the rare where I am?

19. Why have an Asian account now that Ganz has sync'd the zones?
We get the first offering for the rare(s).
We get to do any 'fest a day earlier.
We get our holiday gifts a day ahead of time.

Well done. Only other area you might want to cover is the funding of the Asian accounts with oak pools and KC coins. That seems to confuse some people.
