This is on one of my asian accounts, just before the 2-min rare at 9pm KT asian or 7am est, I have saved two blue boxes from pets adopted a couple of days ago:

Kinztime is 8:57pm KT (asian): 4-wheel ATV
and at 8:58pm KT (asian): Webkinz Theme Music Box
I tell you, I'm always very unlucky, almost a jinx, and I never win anything.

And after that, the 2-min rare was: Medieval Dining Chair!!! Thank you Arte, I needed that!

All boxes opened are on the same Asian account. I moved to a different room to open each box.

Opened Blue Box on Amer. Account on 9/27/08 at 4:55pm KT just before Arte was offering the Aztec Walls at 5pm.

Tips and pointers for opening a rare in your blue box (additional adoption gift):

• It is not the adoption time that is crucial… it is when the blue box gets opened.
• Open no more than 15 minutes before the scheduled rare (some have suggested opening as close as possible to the rare is helpful.)
• If you have more than one blue box, and you open the first and don’t get what you want, you may just want to hold the others for the next rare.
• You need to be expecting the rare in the same time zone as you are opening the box (if the rare is in the US it won’t work to open the box on the Asain account and vice versa)
• It doesn’t work to open the box AFTER the rare is in the CS
• If you open boxes one after another, you often get the same item. For example: I had this happen to me (9/25) on my US account—I opened two boxes two minutes apart but I stayed in the same room and didn’t do anything. I got the exact same item in each blue box. When I moved to a different room, I got a different item. (FYI, 2 KC coins and a large pane window) Oddly enough, the same thing happened when I was opening the Pet Specific boxes in the 30 minutes before the rare… I opened two in a row and got the yin yang plant in both. Went to the arcade and came back and got a Zingos Bubble blower, left and came back and got a vortex storage unit.

Just found my answer, Jenn to my question about format for reporting ...

What does this mean if I just want to know when to open my blue box? Go for it. If you could write down the time, date, US or Asian account, and what item you get each time you open one, I’ll add it to the data collected and see what I can find. Below I’ve put some pointers, but I just want to stress—no guarantees, here folks… just hopes.

While at the same time a TRUE and tested theory requires those results 'outside the time frame' or not within the time of a rare offered AT ALL. We are testing to see if the incidences are higher, right...but we NEED a higher than What. ALL results should be included and charted...just a thought, k?

when I adopted Erika my yellow lab (note: this was like in February) I got an Egyptian TV. When I adopted Prince and Stella, I think I got exclusive items. I guess it varies.

I opened my blue box at 9:02 am in my US account to see if opening the box after the rare would get better results. I got the 1,000 coin. Oh well, at least I got the Aztec Fridge today.

I opened my boxes just before the rare today ( I registered a pet to get enough kinzcash for the aztec fridge ) and I got the propeller plane in my main box and the 4 wheeler in my bonus box. Both were opened at 8:59.
