I opened my Whimsy dragon's pet box at 26 mins. after rare on US acct. & got a moped. Then visited the curio shop, bought a small item, moved to my Azteca room (only have walls so far LOLz), & got yet another 1000kc.
I guess I should have figured out how to flip my avvie for those floors, huh? LOLz

Hey, all! Thanks for all your hard work!

Below I've left questions and comments as I went through the thread picking up the data. But I wanted to give you an update on what we've found so far.

Here's the data: I've compiled the information for ALL blue boxes opened, and for blue boxes opened on ASIAN accounts only.

On all accounts we've opened a total of 363 boxes. Of those boxes 28% have been rares. That can be broken down into 165 boxes opened in the 30 minutes or less before the rare, 23.5% of which were rare, and 198 control boxes opened any other time, 31% of which were rare. The numbers suggest our chances go down just a little when opening before the rares in the Curio Shop.

Of those 363 boxes, 128 have been opened in Asian accounts. When that data is looked at all on its own, 89 boxes were opened in the 30 minutes or less before the rare, yeilding 32.5% of boxes containing rares. The other 39 boxes were control boxes opened any other time, yielding 28% rares. So in the Asian accounts it seems to suggest our chances go up just a little when opening before the rare... EXCEPT... we're really short on control boxes, and having more could help us determine more clearly whether this is actually true or not.

OK... that's all I know for the update... I'll keep tallying if you'll keep posting, and I'd love to hear what you think. Peace, Jenn

I'm a little confused about your second two posts... could you clarify for me... a blue box ususally only contains one item... could you clarify for me in boxes two and three which of the two items listed was the one in the blue box? This was a different pet. I opened it in my AC rare room and received the Aztec Flooring. Sorry I don't remember the technical name.

My husband's account:

He opened it in a room with only one rare and got the AC side table.

So for us, it looked like when we opened them during the time of a rare, we did get a rare!

10/17 On my American account at 8:46pm, I opened a blue box in my Egyptian room and I got the Master Grill.

So now I am 4 for 4!

Since I have made sure to open boxes during a rare, and in a rare room I have yet to not receive a rare.

I don't know how it would be for others, I just seem to have this luck!

Hi, all. I opened blue box from our new spaniel yesterday at about 12:05pm (sale at 12).....we got robot clock and strike a pose plant.

Don't know if this helps in you analysis or not. Wasn't thrilled, but at least we got a couple of items.
