YOu know, Jenn, I am seeing a trend more in the Asian accounts than anywhere else...It seems that we are seeing a HIGHER success rate for getting Rares in those accounts than in the American and European. It is rather uncanny, but seems to follow the Asian account set-up, don't you think? I mean, Asian accounts don't really go down for maintenance, you just get booted at 2:00 AM and you can log right back in, no time lapse in between. They don't follow the American/Euro rares unless it is an update 'match.' Those happen at the beginning of the month, as a rule. Bananagoil showed her tracking in the Asian Rare thread. But, I WISH I could send my BB's over to my Asian accounts!! I have two, now and I am watching what is happening here and I would much rather put my 'Eggs' in the Asian basket. I haven't got enough pets in either account to get the blue boxes, though. The American account has become my 'feeder' account where finances are funneled into those Asians and trinkets are passed back and forth between the two Asians and 3 Americans.

I signed up 2 new webbies this morning right before rare in US acct. @ 11am.
10:57am pet box - neon plant, blue box - 1000kc ~ Opened in New Egyptian room
10:58 Next pet box strike a pose plant , super bed box ~ Opened in Aztec room

I am in the same situation as you. It would take 8 bodies to start getting the BBs in Asia for me. Could be worth it considering the KC just for adopting. But I am also torn about setting up a Euro account too.???

BLUE BOX FINDINGS (so far)




OK friends... I've tallied all the info on this thread to this post, and here's what I've got:

• When opening in the last 10 minutes before a rare, 13% of the boxes contain a rare item.
• When opening a box any other time, 29.5% of the boxes contain a rare item.

Yes, those numbers seem to "disprove" the theory, however... right now I am working with DOUBLE the control boxes... so I could use some more boxes opened right before rares (for the sake of clarity, boxes that are opened just before the rares in the same time zone the rares are happening), if you're willing. If the numbers can get evened out, we're more likely to have a more reliable result.

I also noticed that Dixiecup put forth the idea that this might be an "Asain thing," so as soon as I have time, I'll be going over the thread again to see what I find when I only compile Asian info.

That's all I've got for now, thanks again for all your help and you're willingness to be guinea pigs I'll do my best to continue to do something with all the info you're providing me. Also, if you've got other feedback or suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Jenn, I have noticed many more rares in my US accts, but only after rare sales start in Curio. Not to add more confusion, but the last few blue boxes I have opened in US accts. before rares has yeilded only KC or exclusives.

Right now it's a theory, but some of us have been trying it, and if you're willing to help or have some research to share... here's the place to post it! That will also make easier to collect and tally.

What information to post: If you're going to leave info, please include... US, Euro or Asian account, date and kinz time you opened the box...if you have an Asian or Euro account, please post the date and KT there... exact KT is helpful e.g. 1:55 KT, 6:58 KT... and what item you received when the box was opened.

If you don't open just before a rare, your welcome to post your info here, too, and it'll add to our control group! This information is as important as the info on boxes opened just before rares--it gives us something to measure against... for example (not proven) if the chance of getting a rare in the blue box before a rare is 1 in 3 that's great... but what is it the rest of the time? If it's always 1 in three, well, then I guess we can all open our boxes whenever we want. EVERY BOX THAT GETS OPENED HELPS US LEARN MORE.

**A "blue box" is... a Bonus Gift Box, which is received as an additional adoption gift after you have adopted 10 pets. Please note you only get these boxes when adopting pets 11-14… on pet 15 you get a yellow Super Exclusive Gift Box (better known as a bed box.) Yellow boxes then come with pets 20, 25, and so on. On the numbers in between 16-19, 21-24, you get the blue box. See picture below.

I opened my blue box at 10:56am right before American rare at 11am on Tue. I was in a regular ole room and received a 1000kc., which I can always use. Next time I'm going to a rare room.

My latest blue box, I opened at 1 minute to a rare and I got a Roadster Go Kart. I was in a Medieval Room.

Did I miss a rare in Asian acct. this morning? No, No, No!!!

I believe Jenn was talking about 30 mins. before rares. Although I just can't seem to get anything then.
