I've over thought when the screen was first annouced if I sould get it or not.
It was really a hard decison, but I really don't have a use for it and to buy a large room and make it look like a movie thetre and the list could go on...
I planned not to get it because the doors can't be removed/moved and that... Well, in my honest opinion it just isn't really worth it. | | | 07-31-2009, 08:50 PM | #12 | Beam me up, I'm Gifted Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 1,123 | Re: Another grumble about Colossus: the movie screen that... I have the same problem. The room I had set up , waiting for the stupid screen, has 2 doors on it. Now, I have to get another room...one where there's only one door, and make sure that I don't put another room next to it. *sigh* Such a pain! Oh, and I have to buy new wallpaper and flooring too. | | | 07-31-2009, 08:53 PM | #13 | KAP822 Webkinz :) Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 1,137 | Re: Another grumble about Colossus: the movie screen that... So, before you sell a bunch of rare items (I did) or adopt a dozen pets (I didn't...only 2) make sure that you have the right space for it. I love hearing what everyone thinks about this colossal movie screen! One thing that I have done with my house in WW is, since there is unlimited space on the building screen for adding rooms, I've felt that I don't have to put rooms adjacent to each other except for one doorway in each "end" room. I have many hallways that make a cross such as + with long medium sized rooms connected all together (to make a long hallway) and then one large room at the very end of the hallway. This way I can have my "King's room" at a distance from the other common rooms. This also gives me plenty of rooms that could accomodate a number of the colossal movie screens if I wanted. I love being able to have a big sprawling ranch house....don't you? | | | 08-01-2009, 02:15 AM | #18 | sparkspeak Gift Guru Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 1,938 | Re: Another grumble about Colossus: the movie screen that... Could you post a picture of the Map of your rooms? | | | 08-01-2009, 11:02 AM | #19 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Apr 2009 Posts: 180 | Re: Another grumble about Colossus: the movie screen that... I'm truly sorry, Sparkspeak, but I'm quite "computer illiterate" and can't even begin to understand how to take a screen shot. Naturally, all of my house doesn't fit on one screen either. I'm constantly having to scroll up or down and across the screen to get from one room to the other, but this alone should be enough of a description so that you can visualize what I'm talking about. The "end" of the hallway rooms are the large rooms where the colossal screen would fit very nicely! I figure if WW is allowing us unlimited space for our houses, why not utilize it? I hope that this answers your question. | | | 08-01-2009, 11:28 AM | #20 | sparkspeak Gift Guru Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 1,938 | Re: Another grumble about Colossus: the movie screen that... | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
