Only duplicate gems being awarded?

Okay, I really don't think this is my imagination, but I'll throw it out there for others to comment: ALL I have gotten for about 2 weeks now in Gem Mining (and other searching games) is duplicates. No new items at all.

Now that isn't beyond statistical possibility, I suppose, but in the Gem Mining, I'm missing many of my common gems (thanks, Doug!) and have several of the rares and uncommons. Yet, when I find gems, which I am still doing at normal frequencies, all I get are multiples of the "unusuals" I already have.

Some of the second-tier stones I now have 6 and 7 of!! And I have holes where I should have 5 or 6 different common stones.

Has anyone else noticed this? I really no longer think this is just luck.

It's not just your imagination. I am getting the same thing if I get anything at all. Half the time I am getting nothing.

Thanks for the post. Yes, I expect nothing (the odds are, if I remember, 25% that we'll get anything) but when I DO get something, it's the SAME thing. I now have 6 Jaded Envys... I'm sure I've gotten 4 of them in the past 2 weeks, but can't get a common blue stone at all.

Just wondering if others are seeing this behavior.

Yes I've noticed this sometimes, if I do several accounts in a row, I might get the same gem. Try clearing your cache, and rebooting your computer, see if that helps.

I'm so glad you posted. I have been wondering the same thing myself. I keep trying for a common blue gem and I keep getting higher level ones. Strange, isn't it? I wonder if it is a glitch that occurred during that last maintenance that messed so many things up.

Thanks, Webberlilly, for the advice. It isn't actually the SAME stone, it's one of a group... and always one I already have. I'll do what you suggest, though.

Lil'gma, I'm glad someone else is seeing this. Or at least, we're both imagining the same thing! I now have 7 of a mid-level (got it today) and am still missing 2 of the commons in that color. Somehow even with my loose grasp of probability that seems wrong. I'm going to watch for another week, and post here if it seems to continue. Good luck to you!
