Default Minus 1 gem!

Today i found a Rainbow Flower, but to my suprise, it said i had minus 1! i forgot to get a picture but after i accepted the gem, it still said i had none! has this happened to anyone else?

Have you traded with doug lately?Well did you get a prize without giving him the gem he was looking for and still got the prize?Well if you said yes to both of those then heres what happen:Since you didn't have the gem he was looking for and still got the prize the next time you find the gem it goes to doug so you can sorta repay him.that way you can earn your prize.

This makes me scared to trade with Doug. Sometimes when I'm trading with him, the dialogs are messed up if there are a lot of people in the room standing on top of me to talk to Doug. For example, the other day he asked for three gems, which I indeed had, and the dialog box said I DO have the gems, but then I got a dialog indicating the trade couldn't be made, and 'maybe next time' I'll have the right gems.

On the other hand, at least once I got a dialog saying I don't have the gems (and I didn't), and he traded with me anyway. I suppose what happened to you will happen to me when I find that gem in the Gem Hunt?!

That would make sense ... except that my daughter had 5 Zincoz Zingoz gems when Doug told her she didn't have any of the kind he was looking for. After he gave the, "oh thanks - here's something for you" message [note: clicking 'OK' was the only option, there was no 'cancel' option available] she went back and looked and she had no ZZ's in her gem box. OK, fine - we all had been told there was a glitch, Ganz was going to restore lost gems, they'd show up eventually.

Since then, she's found 2 more ZZ's; the 2nd time, Arte said she had -2 when asked if she wanted to keep or sell [she kept it]. Thus, she should have 7 - but I'm guessing if she gets this gem again, she'll be told she has -3. Worse yet, she's got every other gem - so she literally cannot finish off a CoW until this gets fixed, as she's not getting credit for any ZZ's she finds.

This just happened to me and I submitted a problem report via the customer service forms (used the 'my problem does not appear above' form). If my lava lump count does not change to 1 in my gem box tomorrow, I will be calling Ganz to report the problem verbally and request my account to be credited with the gem I found tonight.

I suggest that everyone else who has had this problem do the same thing. Ganz can only deal with problems that are reported (by the way, I also give them positive feedback when it is deserved).

I just did my gem hunt and got a starlight shimmer i believe it is called well it said i have minus something i think it was -3 but i found one went to my jewel box and i have none showing which made me curious i then went ahead checked all colors as i have not traded with Doug in a few days keep missing him. But to my surprise even though i know i get gems everyday there are only 5 gems in total in my gem collection which i know is wrong. So with that i went into another account which i know should have a lot of gems numerous of some of them and to my suprise that is almost empty as well. Has anyone found this happen to them as well wondering if it is a glitch as well. I do remember that the last few times i tried to trade with Doug he would tell me i have none of the gems he was looking for even though it said that i did and I did not get the prize. Strange wondering if i should call ganz or not

just wondering what customer service form you had used as i can not see to find one that suits mine or an option of my problem does not appear

I just spoke with a Webkinz customer service rep and they said that the reason I had -1 was that Doug incorrectly took a gem. He said that all incorrect gems that Doug took were being logged in a database and that when everything was fixed with Doug, we would get our gems back. When I asked if I should keep calling back or if something would be posted once the problem was fixed, he said something would be posted on Kinzville News and I did not need to keep calling.

I hope that what this rep said is correct. However, since people seem to get such widely different answers when they call, I would personally recommend continuing to call when this problem occurs. I filled out the missing item form last night and got a totally unacceptable form e-mail (missing items happen due to 'hiccups' and we don't give them back was basically the gist of the letter) today in response and that is why I called in the first place.
