Lightbulb I CRACKED GEM HUNT!!!! Updated: w/ Sneek Peek of NEW Pic Guide!!! Guarantee To Get You A Crown of Wonder!!!

Lovettes Tips and Tricks

Hi my name is lovettes and here are my tips and tricks to getting a webkinz crown of wonder in no time and getting the best gems in gem hunt. I call it the “THE LOVETTE METHOD”. I might be very new to webkinz but I already have two crown of wonder (took me 3 months) (2 ½ months) and on my 2 newest accounts I’m now 5 and 4 (2 and 1 1/2 months) gems away. The reason why I wrote all this out is because I wish I knew all this info when I first started out using gem hunt…God it would have saved me many over a month of time!!!!

FIRST….The most important thing to know is which mine hold which gems, this makes it 100 times easier to find the gem you need.

To make all this writing easier I’m just going to call the stalactites and stalagmites ROCKS! Also I numbered certain points on the rocks to make it easier (look at pic as a guide). Tip: the top and bottom rocks are mirror images of one another.

Click the image to open in full size.

There are 3 points on each rock that can sparkle (look above at pic. for the guide) and for every color the sparkle is different at each point. Point 1 and point 2 are the easiest to use. Point 1 is easy when comparing the color difference, it is easily noticeable because some are darker and some are brighter, lighter and in some cases a totally different shade of color. Point 2 is best when comparing the sharpness of the sparkle, this is also easily noticeable (some have fuzzy lines, some have distinct lines). The sparkle at point 3 is the brightest, and is good to use when comparing the color tint from one another, you can see a yellowish tint in yellow gems and a greenish tint in green gems. Point 1 is the hardest to use when comparing because it is hard to see the color tint in some mines. Point 1 is also good when comparing the sharpness of the sparkle. A good way to start out is to scroll to a part of the mine that has a lot of rocks because when they sparkle at the same time you can really figure out what the color is which. Most sparkles are basically bluish in color but it is the underlining tint and glow of lets say yellow and green sparkles that make them easy to distinguish. Lets say your in muzzle mouth mine, white gems have the brightest sparkle (3) and also has a white tint to their sparkle, yellow will have a yellow tint, blue is the hardest because it is bright like the white gem on (3) but has a more of a blue color sparkle on (1,2) and red has the darkest and least bright sparkle. I should also mention that in each mine each color gem’s sparkle looks some what different because of the different color backgrounds. So try one mine at a time.

Until my picture guide comes out…Here is a good hint!!! Before you click on a rock, take a screenshot of it when it sparkles. (Be sure to take a screenshot of all three points and you have to take it when it is the biggest and brightest. Otherwise it will not work, the sparkles kind of look the same when their growing and dying) T0 do this press CTRL+PRNT SCRN when the rock sparkles, then paste it to the paint program and save. (P.S. this only works if you find a gem haha) This way when you find a gem color you will know what the sparkle for that gem looks like at each point and you can use it as reference when you are searching for a certain gem color.

Now the hard part (you know ganz isn’t going to make this easy) on the rocks that are slag they take sparkles from multiple gem colors and use it on one rock. This can be VERY confusing and trust me sometimes you will make a mistake but on the bright side if you notice that the rock is sparkling with multiple colors you can weed out the slag and have a greater chance of getting a gem. Don’t get discouraged if you make a mistake because even I get tricked now and then. These tricks do take a while to learn but after you get it down you will be wearing your own crown of wonder in no time. All that matters is the sparkle, get that down and everything else will fall into place.

Hints:
© Muzzle Mouth mine is the easiest to learn, along with the Flea Floater
© Buried Bones is a close third
© Then comes Barking Mad (green gems and blue gems are very easy)
© LAST is Howling Horse…VERY hard…

It’s too hard to explain the differences in all the colors, you would just get confused because they colors are alike in many ways. It’s just something that you really have to learn and see for yourself to understand.

Please write me if you have any questions about the LOVETTE method or how to find certain gems. I exact tips on finding certain gems that I wasn’t able to include (WAY too much to write at once!)…I will answer within 24 hours!

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps!!!!!
Love Much,
Lovettes

Tips to Finding Those Elusive Gems

After you have learned all about the “lovette method” you can start looking for certain gems. Based on what gem you are looking for you can have a 1-6 chance or even 1-2 chance of finding the gem you need (using the lovettes method”. Please remember not everything is a surefire way, that why I keep on saying mostly, usually. Finally here are my tips and tricks to finding those elusive gems…

Rare Gems
© Mostly rare gems are only found in certain kinds of rocks (not to say there aren’t the occasional exception) but I have only found rare gems in these rocks (A-D)
© A good hint to finding rare gems is looking throughout the mine for the rock that is repeated the most or second to the most, one of these rock usually has a rare gem.
© An okay rule of thumb is to avoid the rock that sparkle like E more then once, usually this is slag or a low level gem and always avoid a gem that sparkles in all 3 points (F) at once it is always a low gem or slag!

AClick the image to open in full size.

© When searching for rare gems I noticed that rare gems are usually surrounded by slag.
© When rare gems are found in large groupings of rocks they can be found on the side closest to the middle of the mine. In rare occasions in the middle of the grouping (I’ve only found 1 like this)

First WEBKINZ DIAMOND!!!!
© First it can only be found in the buried bones mine (duh)
© Every time I have found the Webkinz diamond it has been in only certain kinds of rocks (A-C) and has always been in stalactites that have rocks on the top and bottom (A). Usually it is found around the largest grouping of rocks around in the middle of the mine (doesn’t always have to be right next to each other)
© It makes it a lot easier to find if you follow my tips above, cause then you have a 1-6 chance of finding it!
Ocean Sapphire
© HARDEST GEM to find!!!!! This gem doesn’t have the usual pattern like most gems.
© All the times I have found it is has been in the middle of the mine or right to the middle of the mine.
© I have found it by itself and also in a large grouping of gems. I have never found it in a stalactite with rocks on the top and the bottom but I have found them next to them.
Earth Emerald
© Easy gem to find, around the middle area of the mine
© Found in the largest grouping of gems (next to each other)
© Mostly will have rocks on the top and the bottom
Corona Topaz
© Can be anywhere in the mine
© Mostly found in a large grouping of gems, but never found by itself
© Not found very often with rocks on the top and bottom
Red Ruby Heart
© One of the easiest to find!
© Every time I have found this gem it has always been in the middle of the mine
© Found mostly by itself or with just one gem next to it and I have found it mostly in rock A, B, sometimes D.
© This is not always fool proof but the rock that contains the red ruby usually doesn’t sparkle a lot and will have a sparkle that kind of flickers once in a while.

Uncommon Gems
© Simplest way to find these gems is to go to the mine that has only this gem in level 2 (so if you wanted to find a unicorn horn you would look in muzzle mouth)
© Many times I find these gems at the far left and far right.
© Found in rocks (A,B,C above and Ab, Bb below) (Ab mostly green gems, Bb mostly yellow gems)

General Gem Hunt Tips

© When a certain color stone is a gem of the day (example: Aqua Orb) that color stones home mine, in this case Howling Horse will have fewer rocks to chose from then normal. Giving you a better shot
© This is not always true but I find it works a lot. If you have a gem of the day in level 3, the common category, you can usually find it in the rocks that are in doubles right next to each other. The doubles have to have gems in each set (like below), even better if the doubles all have rocks (top and bottom) but it can’t just have rocks on one set. Also it can be in whatever mine carries that gem.

Click the image to open in full size.

© A lot of times level 3 gems and slag sparkle a lot
© The more you sit and watch the mine the more info you can get but watching the sparkles, I have even watched a mine for an hour but I did get the gem I needed so I guess it was time well spend, haha.
© One thing I hear most people complain about is that they keep finding the same gems. I think this is because people are generally drawn to a certain type of rock or a certain part of a mine or even the same mine day after day. When I first started webkinz, I knew nothing and I kept on getting level 3 green gems (seriously if I saw one more jaded envy I was going to go crazy). Then I started to learn more about gem hunt and realized I was going mostly to buried bones, flea floater and barking mad, ALL MINES that had level 3 green gems! So start mixing it up!
© Never pick this rock (Ac), it always has level 3 gems. Also Bc usually has level 3 gems.

Click the image to open in full size.

© One thing to remember is that nothing about the sparkles is random

I have so much info about every gem that I couldn’t include everything…So if you need more specific info about a certain gem you need to find please write and I will write back to you within 24 hours.

Hope this Helps,
Lovettes

P.S.
Don’t mind my obsessive over use of my name, but you know a girl got to give herself a little credit : )

Answers to Some of Your Questions

There seem to be some confusion about the pictures. I wanted to include picture to make explaining everything easier because it is very hard to describe in words the different shapes of rocks. I added a letter in front of every picture (in some cases the lettering will actually be in the picture) so you would know what picture I was talking about. (example: you want to avoid the rock that sparkles like pic. F) So you would look at the picture BELOW the paragraph and see that pic. F was a picture with the three sparkles at once.

Some of you are confused about the whole sparkle thing, which is the most important thing to learn!!! Its very crucial that you understand all about the “sparkle” because that is the only way to tell the different gem rocks apart. So I’m going to try and explain it a different way to make it a lot easier to understand.

Like I said before the differences in the sparkles are VERY slight and at first you do have to sit and stare at them for a while to really notice them all. Seriously you should probably sit and stare at all the rocks in the mine for 20 min. total.

In every mine there are four different colors of gems. Each color gem has their own color sparkle, so a rock that contains a white gem has a different sparkle color then a rock that has a red gem.

Sparkles are not just different in color, they are different in shade and sharpness, some have very distinct, sharp lines and some are fuzzy.

Sparkles are all basically blue in color so you really have to look and notice those underlining shades/tints of color in order to tell them apart. The easiest way to do this is to go to the part of the mine with the most rocks, because you can see the differences a lot easier if you see them next to each other.

Let’s say you are looking for a white gem in muzzle mouth. The sparkles for the white gem are going to be the whitest and brightest!

The color of the sparkle reflects the color of its gem. Yellow gems have more of a yellow color, green have a more of a green color.

When you first start out looking at the sparkles, please go to muzzle mouth or flea floater, they are by far the easiest to see the differences in the sparkles. Also go to the part of the mine that has the most rocks because you can compare them to each other, which also makes it easier.

If you are still lost with the whole sparkle thing, go to the mine and before you click on a rock sit and watch it for a few min. Really look at the sparkle then click it and if you get a gem you will know that that sparkles goes to that color gem!

Another way to see the differences is to make five or so screenshots of the mine when different gems sparkle the compare one another. It is easy to see the differences when you have a still image to compare. Like I said before if you make a screenshot you have to make sure you get it when the sparkle is the biggest and brightest. They look very similar when they are growing and fading.

This is the hardest part! Each rock can sparkle is 3 different places and at each place the sparkle is different. So for each color gem, let’s say white, it has three different sparkles. (Please look at the large pic. of the flea floater mine at the beginning of the thread to see exactly what I’m talking about)

Now the trickiest part!! Once you have figured out what color sparkles matches what color gem. You will start to notice that some rocks sparkle with different colors. Let’s say that you notice that one point sparkles with a yellow sparkles and another sparkles with a blue sparkle, that means that that rock is SLAG!!! That is how Ganz tries to trick you!!! They put multiple color sparkles on one rock. The good thing though is that if you notice it, you can weed out the slag (upping your chance of getting a good gem)

I hope this helps you guys understand everything better. If you do have any questions or are still confused about my sparkle method please just write me! I will gladly try and explain it better.

I know this is confusing and a little overwhelming, but it’s so worth it because once you understand it you can pretty much find any gem you want.

SNEEK PEEK...

As promised... here is a little tiny bit of my new picture guide!!!!!
Showing you the different sparkles for the green gems in howling horse and the blue gem from muzzle mouth. Most important thing is to pay attention to the color differences but also the sharpness of the sparkle.
The green gems have a very fuzzy sparkle, probably even more so then in this picture, they have the most fuzziest in their mine. The blue gems are not fuzzy in fact it has sharper more distinct lines, espically in point 2. I wanted to give you guys a little peek at what i'm doing and what you guys should expect in the coming weeks. Hope you likely!!!
