Gem Hunting got harder?

Is it just me or has gem hunting gotten harder since Doug came along? I haven't found a gem all this week and I've been to different mines. I never went this long without finding a gem. How is everyone else doing with their gem hunt?

I've noticed that too, but today I finally found a corona topaz on my secondary account! I needed it there too but if I had just been able to find it on my main account I'd have the crown of wonder today

I've found that gem hunting has its down times...I just kinda figured I was in one of the low points. I suppose it could be related to Doug-he's been awfully stinky! It only figures that he'd mess up gem hunt too! Who knows though-on one of my accounts I found the red ruby heart-and it had taken me almost three months to find it on one of my other accounts...

Yes, I too, have had no luck finding gems for the past week or so. The thought crossed my mind that it was awfully coincidental that now that there is a secondary use for the gems they are harder to collect. Just what we need....more frustration. lol

Guess it isn't only me. I do think the gems have been much harder to get lately.

ABsolutely! We've noticed this, too. Grrr! LOL.

Same thing seemed to happen in the Woodland when those silly seeds finally were useful for something (Pachinko.) Before then, we got a seed just about every other day. Now? All sap glop and nothings.

Sigh... and I was so close to my third crown on one account, and had been selling gems on the other. That'll teach me.

I have noticed it has got harder too And yes it started when Doug came around.
Sometimes it takes awhile for any of us to find the top row gems (like the diamond or ruby heart) but it's usually not so hard to find the common ones.

Yes, I've noticed that gems are harder to find now AND he's offering practically nothing for them when you do find them. Almost everything I did find lately gets the message that says "I see those things all the time" and then you get offered 12kc for them. I think they're trying to encourage everyone to keep them and look for Doug.

Yes, I thought it was just me. I was always very lucky finding gems...and I too have not found any this week and trading what I had to Doug has left me with almost nothing.
