Are Crowns an endangered item because of Doug?

I don't know about you, but I am trading gems like because of Doug the Dog. At first I Lost a number of gems because I didn't realize you have to trade with the same pet to advance to the next prize level . But now I'm using a few specific pets to try to get duplicate items. My gems are going fast.
I've never liked the way the Crown of Wonder looks on the pets that I have (the Crowns always get traded away). But I know this is going to be a real conflict for my nieces; who will want both the Doug prizes and Crowns for their pets.
Do you think Crowns of Wonder are going to increase in their virtual value because of Doug? Do you want Ganz to continue with more Doug prizes? Inquiring minds want to know. ( And by "inquiring minds" I of course mean that I'm curious.) Are the Crowns of Wonder an easy sacrifice for you to make or does it drive you to give up so many gems for the Doug prizes.

I get offered Crowns of Wonder every time I go into the trading room and they aren't that impressive looking on the pets so it's no problem for me to trade away my gems to Doug!

I aready have two Crowns, and I was getting rather disinterested in the gem hunt until Doug came along. Now I have a new reason to go hunting.
Yeah, I can see where it would be conflicting on weather you want to sell your gem, keep for for the Legendary Crown of Wonder, or sell it to Doug for cool prizes.

Even though I'm still working on my first Crown of Wonder, I really enjoy Doug. He gives me something else to do with my gems and makes slowly building my Crown less tedious. If it slows down completing my Crown a little, that's OK.

Just keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't glitch and reset me. I really want that flooring and wallpaper!

Between 5 accounts, we need no more crowns... I can understand most people would want their first crown though, that was pretty exciting to get

I think so. Bu tI always sell my gems anyways, so its no big change for me. I guess I'll just trade to get the prizes.

Personally, I stopped going to see Doug for a while because I decided to keep working on my second crown. Once I get that, though, I'll be on the hunt for Doug. Two crowns will probably be plenty for me.

For the people who already have numerous crowns, I think it's great that Doug came along to give them a reason to do the gem hunt (besides just selling the gems for kinzcash).

You make an interesting point about the crowns possibly becoming more valuable now. I guess time will tell. Doug may have more prizes, but they aren't unlimited either so eventually some people will have an excess of those, too.

I have two crowns and for the most part many of the common gems. Plus, I also have a few of the rarer gems and at least two Webkinz diamonds. So, I will still trade the gems for the pets, and keep all the gems that I dig up unless I find the gem of the day (as they trade is very good).

That said, I would suggest to those who have kids who really want to get the crown to encourage them to not trade until they get at least 7 or 8 of the common gems in each color, or just use the one pet. That way, they don't lose too many that it takes them almost a year to get the crown - especially if they're only going to be online for a year.

Plus, the crown has a very high KC value if sold (it's about 2,500 last time I checked - and I didn't sell of course ), so that is another incentive to keep the gems: a good sell value.

I have three crowns and really didn't want anymore. I am so glad they added the doug feature. I wish they would have let us know and I wouldn't have traded all those gems LOL

seriously i quit mining for a LONG time because i only needed one gem and was NEVER going to get it...and then finally went back and found it to get my one and only crown. Honestly i am way more excited about Doug and his stuff than i am a crow of wonders. It was somehow a let down after all that work!
