Arte stole my gem

I found a lemon drop today in the gem hunt. It showed I already had 1 Lemon Drop gem, and finding this one would give me a total of 2 Lemon drops. I clicked on "Keep" my gem. Arte took it and now I show that I have 0 Lemon Drops. I did not receive any KC for my gem that disappeared either. I am referring to Arte (not Doug the Dog). I was so happy I finally founded a gem we needed, only to be ripped off by Arte! Has anybody else had this happen?

It happened to me (sorta)!

Today I found a Zingos Zincos, which was the last gem I needed for my 2nd crown. When it took me back to Arte, the bottom of my screen said "You have -1 Zingos Zincos." When I clicked on "keep my gem" and it showed my gem box, it showed the circle around the Zingos Zincos spot (like it does when you keep a gem), but the spot was empty and it said zero underneath.

Weird!!!

I wonder if they'll correct this, or if it's part of accepting webkinz "as is," which they've told me before.

I emailed support@webkinz.com to let them know and ask if they'd fix it for me. I'm not expecting them to, but here's hoping!

UPDATE: Drat. I just saw the post further down about this. When Doug asked for a gem you didn't have and gave you the prize anyway, apparantly Ganz logged that and subtracted one from my account even though I didn't have one. Hence, the -1.

Kinda stinky, since I'd rather have the gem than the rock candy. But if that IS what happened, I guess it's fair ... in a weird, I-don't-like-it kind of way!

I think the whole gem thing is glitched. I'm missing all my blue gems today and I had quite a few of them. It's very discouraging.
