Yes, the Pyramid Plunder is in both the Buried Bones mine, and the Barking Mad mine (it's home mine). Second level gems are in two specific mines, and it does not matter which of those you look in (odds are the same in both). But if the other one you are looking for is also in one of those mines, you know where you should always be looking!

This is great! Thanks so much. I didn't realize there was a reason to keep the extra gems, but I will keep them now. I also thought it was all completely random, and that the mines were different colors just to look nice. LOL NOW I know the truth! hehe

Your making this to complex, I just click on the sparkles!
The odd part of this, when I'm looking for the Rube Red Heart, I go to the top right of the Muzzle Mouth mine and I usually get it. Strange!

How about just clicking on a rock? Any rock (in the right mine). Can't get any simpler than that, which was the whole point, of course.

This young fella has one that works for him. I just replied to his thread and by golly if he doesn't have a point. Situation on the stalagmite and stalagtites may also have a minor bearing. I am going to 'probe' this one a bit deeper, but he swears it's effectiveness (could be another cognitive dissonance bias because it looks about 75% accurate.) I stopped 'looking for the sparkle' and I only need ONE gem on mine. So, now i am collecting duplicates for the next crown...

Does it make a difference if you tip Arte? Are there fewer slags if you're at level 7?

Nope. Your relationship with Arte has no bearing on your odds of finding a gem, or on his offers for gems. Tipping gets you different comments from him, and eventually, "inside info" on rares in the Curio Shop. That's it.

Huh, interesting. Thanks for sharing the info! I though that maybe it was based on if it sparkled the way a certain gem did, then maybe that gem was located underneath. But wow, that just trashed my theory, good thing too, I would probally still be searching like that even tomorrow!
