Running a shop is hard work and it's not right for some people to add to that. I know, not EVERYONE is a horrible customer through and through but this guide can help those few who are, improve on those who aren't and congratulate those are the complete opposite. 1. Patience is a virtue. I can't stress how much being patient would help out those poor owners. Having someone nag you if their order is done doesn't make the job go any faster. However, if your order hasn't been acknowledged for quite a while,it is ok to politely remind the owner of it's existence, we are human, we forget sometimes! 2. FORMS! One word that most everyone seems to forget when requesting a name or graphic. The form is crucial for the owner to know exactly what you want. How should they know you prefer french names or wanted it to be a siggie. forms make it easy for the owners to give you exactly what you want, and you want that, right? 3. Be thankful. Don't rage about how the names didn't suit your liking or the avvie was the wrong colour. This owner didn't have to open a shop to share their expertise, but they did. 4. Being polite is not only key for being a customer, it's just something you should do all the time. Remember you please and thank you's! 5. Just an obvious one, make what you write understandably by using good grammar, spelling and punctuation. 6. And just remember, those owners are always there to help. That's why they opened their shop! Ask them any questions concerning their shop and they'd be happy to help. If anyone else has ideas to add, let me know! thanks to webkinzluver321 who suggested this great idea! Last edited by paws11kitty; 08-18-2009 at 12:52 PM.. |
