Thanks for the rep!! I use my laptop all the time and it would drive me crazy not knowing how to do the different shapes and I would ask people and they would just tell me hit the Alt and the 3 key, and of course it would never work, but they also were on a desktop. So I'm glad when I started looking at my laptop and looking at the keys and noticed the numbers on the keys and then I noticed the num lock key and I thought wow, this is just like the keypad on a regular computer!!

Yes, you can do these on a regular computer, but on a laptop its a lot more difficult and thats why I made this thread because u just can't hit alt and 3 on the laptop to make the heart, you have to first hit the fn and numlock key in order to activate the keypad on the laptop which then will allow you to make the heart by hitting the alt and 3 on the laptop!!

You are quite welcome. Yes, there are a lot of them and I wanted to be able to put all of them on here for all the laptop users out there!!! It took me a lot of time to do this.

This is actually just for laptops, not for desktops and as far as Macs go, I haven't gotten a clue!! I'm really sorry. I know that there is a thread for desktop users for the symbols, but I don't know if it will be the same for Mac users either. So sorry!!! Maybe if you hit your F1 key and check to see if that will give you any info, k?

I'm on a laptop and I tried doing it but it's not working for me.

Making symbols is something I've always wondered how to do...I don't even know how to do it on a desktop.
