Call me Alexann :) Gifted Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 6,563 | How to make movie clips into your avatar! Hey Guys! I have gotten so many comments on my avatar. A lot of them ask how I made it. I am here to tell you. *Pictures in the spoilers!*
First, download a screen recording program like CamStudio or HyperCam if you don't already have it. Although I prefer CamStudio over HyperCam, CS freezes my Windows Vista computer. or
Then, Go on YouTube and record a clip of a video-- I am doing a clip from one of my favorite videos, Charlie the Unicorn 2. (make it short or it will be too big of a file size). Then, watch the video you recorded to make sure it looks right. Wrong part? Off-center? Fix it, because whatever you record will end up in the GIF! If there are some parts you need to clip, go to Windows Movie Maker and clip out every unnecessary part.
Then go to LunaPic and upload the video there and it will be a animated GIF. It may take a while to upload. Then save the GIF, and upload it to TinyPic. This may take a while to upload, too. Then save the tiny little preview of the GIF.
You may need to take it to a resizing shop, depending on how big it is. There you have it! An animated avatar.
Most of this credit goes to pokemon2 for telling me how to make these.
Download links for HyperCam and CamStudio are here and here.
Here is my finished project... almost forgot!
Thanks so much for reading this guide. If I need to add, I definitely will. All suggestions for this guide and your finished projects are greatly appreciated.
