I think the article did a good job of explaining, but I would like to add some things from the view of someone who frequently helps people with computer problems and currently pursuing a degree. Some of these are common sense, some are just a supplement to the article. Any questions about programs to get or anything related , feel free to ask.

NEVER use the same password for every account. I can't even begin to count how many people I know who are guilty of this, thankfully this number of people has been decreasing.

Record your passwords. What this means is not necessarily for you to record them on the internet so you can fill it out automatically, but keep a little notebook handy and keep it safe. I learned this one from my dad, and it has actually spared me from having to create entirely new accounts. Also, it doesn't hurt to record answers to questions. The best thing is to just simply memorize them if possible.

I can not stress this enough, if you think or know that your account has been tampered with in anyway, change the password. At this point, it also wouldn't hurt to check for viruses, spyware, keyloggers, etc. Getting these programs and keeping them up to date will add some protection but it doesn't guarantee complete immunity.

You should pick a password that no one will find out. Like your middle name or your pets name. Or how about your favorite store???

Unless you never tell anyone or no one ever hears them, almost all of those can easily be figured out. The favorite store one is your best bet, even more so if you alter the spelling.

This is a VERY good system to check your password security!!

Because goodness knows we never EVER tell Anyone our password!

But sometimes if the password is simple or easy HAckers can figure them out
and that would be very sad to lose your account.

Be creative! so creative that NO one would ever guess it!

to create a strong password put something no one else knows

sometimes you can put a .... favorite song's name

never put the name of your webkinz pet!!!!!!!

a secret nickname between you and your dad or mom or sibbling might work

never put you webkinz prt's name
