Another suggestion: some keyboards have mute buttons. I was quite thrilled when I discovered that little feature, which makes it even easier to turn sound on and off.

But that turns off ALL the sound. I'm talking about ONLY turning off the sound for Webkinz.

Okay, that makes sense. My computer is too slow to run more than one program at a time, so it works for me - my kids just turn it on again when they want to hear sound.

I found the mixer on Windows XP, but it doesn't show my browser.

You have to have you browser on a program that makes sound.
Ex. If I was on WI, it wouldn't show on my mixer because WI doesn't produce sound. If I had it on Webkinz, it would show because Webkinz makes sound.

Great! On a mac, though, all you have to do is press the lower volume button on your keyboard above the numbers. Cool tip! I could have never figured that out...
