How much can you tip arte?

How much can you tip arte? I can tip him 1, 10 and 25kc. No more. I have heard some people say to tip 100, but i couldn't do that even if i wanted to. do you have to be on a certain level to tip (I am on level five by the way).

I'm not sure though that is an interesting idea. I can tip 100kc. my friend can tip 100kc too!

you can tip arte as much or as little as you like.

i don't see a need to tip him at all, however. i didn't even know there were levels until i noticed he started greeting me differently after i bought a few rares and some curio shop only items. and i only started playing last month and am now level 5 too.

i get the impression that going up on arte's levels depend on the total amount of cash you spend or get from buying items & selling gems. i got lots of duplicate gems that i sold before doug showed up so that may have counted towards the total.

my suggestion is just to keep buying items from him even the small items available in the regular shop and in time he'll be your friend.

The more you tip him, the friendlier and more helpful he gets. At the last level, he tells you exactly what hour his rare items will be in. He says, 'my shop is your shop'

just to clarify, you can tip him, you can go up in levels, not get an item in exchange

OR

you can buy items, NOT tip him, get something in return AND still go up in levels (i'm level 5 without tipping him, only buying items and selling gems)


if you have tons of kinzcash to spare, by all means, give him $100 every day!

and oh, one other advantage of going up in levels is that on level 5 when you click on "ask about sales" if one of the regular items is going for a discount, he'll say "you're in luck, i've got a nice sale on right now"

when you ask about rare items and he doesn't have any that day, he'll also say "i guess i'm plum out"

You can tip Arte up to 100 kinzcash. 1, 10,25,50, and 100. Just scroll down a little after the 25 kc mark on the tip jar. He'll greet you differently the more often you tip or make purchases.

Here are the levels of friendship you can have with Arte. To move up levels, you must tip him and purchase items. The higher your level, the more information he will tell you about when rare items and sales will appear.

1. First time shopper to let you know how it works.
2. "Welcome to the Curio Shop. Hope you find what your looking for."
3. "Welcome back. See if you can find a bargain today."
4. "Hey, welcome back, if you see something you like, let me know."
5. "Good to see you again. Have fun shopping."
6. "Ahh, one of my favorite customers. Let's see what I can do for you."
7. "There you are! Always great to see you, my shop is your shop." (Holds up sign that tells what time of day the rare item will be.)

If you want to go up on his list, then you can't expect to just magically become better friends with him. His friends are the people that tip him and give him cash for his items. If you're looking to be his friend, tip him every day, the higher the better. (the one kinzcash and the ten kinzcash is a bad idea) If you're going to tip him, I suggest 25 kinzcash or higher. Also, buy the things from his shop. Anything you like? Great. Nothing there? Get the cheapest thing. I suggest doing this every day, or almost every day. REMEMBER: THIS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE TO BE VERY PATIENT WITH! DO NOT EXPECT TO GET THE HIGHEST LEVEL WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS! But, guys, it's worth it.
