The friendlier Arte gets ~ will he do anything for US??

Hey Guys,

Yea, the more I buy from good 'ol Arte and tip him BIG time, the friendlier he gets. I just wanna know if he will ever "slip" me a deal. Will he ever say hey, I got something "special" for you today and No one else. Come on into my back room for the really BIG deals!
Just kidding, but is it really worth buying all the stuff and tipping him? Hey, many things you can only git at his curio shop [kinda reminds me of "Needful Things" remember THAT movie ~ a little weird]. Arte kinda reminds me of Max von Sidow, ONLY KIDDING. Please don't send letters! !

But seriously, what's the benefit to ME or any of us for that matter to tip him. Will he ever do ANYTHING special for us?

Congratulations on your increasing friendship with Arte. Although he will never tell you what the Rare is in advance, and he won't "slip you a deal" , Arte will eventually tell you the TIME of the next Rare and Special Sale (30% off or better). Although you can also get this info here, it is always better in my opinion, to be independent whenever possible. So yes, it's well worth the effort.

While opinions vary on this subject, my personal advice is to tip him 100 kc daily. Buy only what you want or need. If you buy something, you should still tip him, but you can make it 50 kc instead of 100. But no matter what you do, you will slowly go up. The Gem Hunt is a separate program and has no effect on the shopping Levels.

He gave me a special deal with a gem, he said, 'hey, I usually sell these for less. But since you shop here alot I'll give you a special deal.'
It's pretty cool.

Weberlily is right. No special deals but knowing the time of sales/rares can be very helpful. The best way to do this is to tip Arte 100 KC per day. And every time you go to the curio shop make a purchase. It can be the cheapest thing he has but it still counts.

With this method it took me about 3 weeks to go from 0 to level 7 with Arte. Level 7 being the highest level. Check the guide Weberlily posted for more info.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing that. I have never heard Arte say that. I guess it shows that persistence does pay off (or shows how insane we really are).
