You know, girleygirl, what you said makes the most sense of anything I have read.
Instead of tipping Arte and getting nothing in return, buying is certainly better. At least you get something for your money. How ingenious!

Thanks for the information. Although, whoever is reading this, it is also an important fact. You have to continue giving him tips and buying his items. Otherwise, you will go backwards and not be his friend anymore. So keep it up! | | | |

Reading that guide really helped me understand the process when I first found WI...
What really boosted my status was just watching here on WI for the times on rares, and making sure I bought the ones I wanted or thought would be useful for trading/gifts. If you aren't in a hurry, that alone can move you up the list pretty steadily over time... Of course, watching here for sales and rares in turn makes that "Arte Friend Status" less of an issue, as well...
In some ways, it's a shame he doesn't give better deals (or additional offers) to his friends... but I understand that could be seen as unfair to those who haven't achieved that status. |  | |
