Indeed it is true, Arte waits 1 minute 40 seconds, and then says "Thank You!" ($10 tip), "Well, thank you! "($25 tip) or "Thank you and have a good day!" ($50 or $100 tip).

I tried this on 6 different accounts, and the time lag was always 1 minute and 40 seconds on my computer; I don't know if this will vary on other people's computers.

If you offer him a second tip that day, he will say "That's kind, but I don't take charity" after the same time lag. These are all the same statements as before, but the delay is new.

Try it! it's fun! And so reassuring to know that Arte's manners are still there.

Thanks to Lisa and Webberlily for figuring this out. I was a little disappointed when Arte started showing a lack of manners. I am glad that it is just a timing issue.

Read the previous posts... There is a time lag. If you will wait for approx 1¾ minutes, Arte will snap into action, and thank you politely for your tip. This small computer glitch appeared at the time that the Deluxe screen was added. Maybe Arte is daydreaming and it takes him 100 seconds to come back to realily?
