I tip him alot, if you do, You get to know the times of rares!! Arte's changing alot!! Teeth, Now not taking kinz cash? LOL!

Actually, I paid attention and he is taking the money, just not acknowledging it.

I have five accounts that I oversee, all of them are at the highest level simply by buying small items from the shop about every other day and buying the rares that I wanted. So I know that it is possible to go up in levels without leaving Arte a tip. And to be honest I don't think that it takes any longer to do it that way.

Wish WW would tell us if tipping was still worth it. It surely is a waste if it doesn't matter.

You have to wait about 2 minutes (give or take) and if you still are in the curio shop he will say thank you and take the money. I was in the curio and had just tipped Arte (he said nothing) and then minimized the screen to do something else (not Webkinz) and about 2 minutes later I heard "thank you" or "thanks". Tell me about a long delay. LOL

Thank you Lisa for being so observant! You are totally right. I've been puzzling over this problem of Arte's loss of manners, and today I tried your idea. I tipped him various amounts. Indeed it is true, Arte waits 1 minute 40 seconds, and then says "Thank You!" ($10 tip), "Well, thank you! "($25 tip) or "Thank you and have a good day!" ($50 or $100 tip).

I tried this on 6 different accounts, and the time lag was always 1 minute and 40 seconds on my computer; I don't know if this will vary on other people's computers.

If you offer him a second tip that day, he will say "That's kind, but I don't take charity" after the same time lag. These are all the same statements as before, but the delay is new.

Try it! it's fun! And so reassuring to know that Arte's manners are still there.
