I agree with you, especially for number 4. Ugh, I really don't like it when people do that because then I feel obligated to check out their thread. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for bringing this up. Yeah, I don't mind one bit if someone voices a differing opinion, but sometimes it can come off as rude. I've seen a couple threads I didn't quite agree with, but I just go about my business and look elsewhere to comment, or ignore it if it's my thread.

I think that if you are the type of person who just HAS to voice a disagreement, constructive criticism (like the example you gave) is what should be given. Otherwise the negative comment can come off as an attack and noone likes to feel like they have to be on the defensive.

Note: If you have doubts that your thread sounds rude or hurtful, read it aloud to yourself before you hit that 'post' button. Sometimes hearing yourself saying what you've written puts it in a whole new perspective. That's my suggestion.
