New Idea! Please Read!

Sorry I did not put what it was called in the title. I forgot what it was called. You know how they added the best answer thing? Well, you know how Yahoo, they do the same thing. Except when you get chosen as the best answer, it adds on to you % of best answers. What if we did that here? And I think that would be very cool! It would let us see who has been getting chosen as best answer.

Anyone have anything to say?

I'm not sure if its an option on vB, but i don't know if this is such a good idea. People would get jealous, or just start doing it to get higher on the %. I don't see a point in it. Sorry if this seems rude, but its just my opinion

It is alright. Everyone can have their own opinion. I personally think that is would not cause any fights.

It's a good thought. I can't decide if I'm for it or against it. For one thing--on the yes side-- it would recognize those who really do help out WI with their answers, which I think we need to do more than we do now. However, on the down side of things, I do think it's just another one of those things that people get all focused on... like rep points, which brings me to my second reason. Isn't that what rep points are for? To show that that member is usually very helpful and has done WI good? Like I said, it's a nice idea, although I still can't decide if it's something WI needs.

I agree that it might cause some competition. What I think would be you would get an automatic rep if you get selected as the Best Answer. The rep would just say Best Answer.

I'm on Y!A [Yahoo Answers] a lot but it seems like people would pay less attention to someone who had 25% best answer(s) than someone with 85% best answer(s). Here's what could happen:

Most users would probably agree that the first answer was the best, so I am kind of 1/2 and 1/2 on this suggestion. Creative thinking though (:
