Problem with job level and being demoted

I was doing really good with the Kinzpost Sorter job and I had a level of 3(+6) the day before yesterday. Well, yesterday I failed the job and it took me to level 3(-1) instead of 3(+5). I failed again today and it demoted me to level 2(0). I think this is so wrong (especially after you hear "you have made it to the highest level in your job; you can come back and play at that level all of the time"). Why can't they just subtract 1 from the 3(+6)? I failed once and they subtracted 7 "levels" instead of just 1 (+6...+5...+4...+3...+2...+1...0...-1).

I, too, do that job all the time. I have found that two failures in a row always send you back to level 2. I often have 15-20 jobs at level 3, then for whatever reason have 2 failures, then it's back to level 2. It is frustrating, but you can get back to level 3 after 3 successes (I think it's 3).
