The computer you use can make a huge difference. On my older machine, the processor is slower and the internet connection is slower. I can never make level 3 with success. On my newer machine, I have no problems and often beat level 3 (when awake!). So it may not be your typing speed, but actually the computer. If you are often close but not close enough, maybe a different machine is the answer. Public libraries are one place to test your own computer speed.

It also helps to have a slower computer for some of the jobs and games. But not always.

i got fast computer AND fast typing (average of like 70 words per minute) but the computer downstairs is like really really slow, so i can type something, and it won't show up for like 2 seconds... that's why i only do the Ms. Birdy Assistant job on my computer

I failed Ms Birdy's asst using Google Chrome. It was too slow; it didn't move me onto the next word fast enough. I don't know if that browser is always that slow, but it's back to Firefox for me. Generally Google Chrome doesn't seem to work as well for me on Webkinz.

I never get past level two on that job. I thought my computer was pretty fast. But with that job I get the two second delay between words too.
My favorite job is Kinz Post Sorter, I call level three Physcho Sorter. If I'm awake I always make it through and its a nice easy 350KC.
