Employment Office Tips and Tricks

Ladies let me know if there are certain users or funny posts you'd like to include in your spots - for now the ones I'm thinking of are one by each of the leading ladies here: N2O's comment about the Christmas cookies looking like "gingerbread roadkill" and Whimzy's now-famous dalliance with Arte at the Library. I would like to see Freya's post where her boss caught her playing WW at work up here too but I'll leave that one for N2O if she would like it.

I know there are a million memories I have of the time spent clicking away in laughter and near tears over words shared on the various incarnations of the EO thread. I wish I had better recall to pull up the moments that made me laugh the hardest and the warm words that made me feel less alone when I was having a rough day.

There are things that have been shared here that I would never pull up for public scrutiny because even though they were publicly posted they feel too personal to sit in the front room. Only the dedicated lurker will find them hidden amidst the everyday companionship and miscellany that composes the larger part of our shared time here.

I loved hunting down Bert's microwave meatloaf recipe after N2O posted about it when we moved from the very first thread to the over 5,000 post-long one that followed it. I can't find it now but I know it's there lurking somewhere in the September 2007 postings that the search feature can't seem to access. It's one of many little gems that I hope to track down and link to in this post when the time and motivation strike me.

Even if this is only a temporary and virtual space I will always treasure the kindnesses and friendships offered by the people of this thread.

WebkinzGram: After being abducted by aliens, I have finally been returned to the planet and will be making an appearance in my favorite virtual coffeehouse later today! There is just this little matter of being cleared by homeland security - the chips the aliens implanted in me keep setting off their alarms. The scariest thing in the whole experience was after I was brought onto the ship and the door greeter smiled and said, "Hi ... NICE to SEEEE you!!!" I don't remember anything after that.
BERT_X: I like this explanation better than the "16 hours with the young cable TV guy" rumor that someone (can't remember who -- wink) started. And Ms Tabby VanMeow is a space alien? That is so obvious!! Why didn't we notice that before?
not2old4this: The important thing is that WebkinzGram is still alive. Now, we can kill her for making us worry.

Whimzykinz: We are now going to do a breathing excercise. Now I see that N20 needs to learn to take a deep breath in... now breathe out... this cleansing breath is very important to center all your chakra's...
BERT_X: That is why I never buy the cheap Wal-Mart underwear -- I hate it when my chakra's are not centered!!

BERT_X: ... I was checking out at the hardware store. The cashier gave me the usual bored, "did you find everything you were looking for?" question they have to ask. So, I said, "no, I still need curtains and a sofa for my medieval theme room"! ...She didn’t seem to understand why that was a problem for me -- I guess SHE already has ALL of the medieval rare items. Ha ha!!

Freya: I told my boss I had to leave by 3 o’clock today as I was buying a rare Egyptian bureau. He got all excited and said his wife collects antiques. But I said sorry, it was a private curio shop and very difficult to find out when they had such rare items!! Remind me not to have them over for my annual Christmas party and see my real furniture!!

BERT_X: I expect that Whimzy's 500th post will be something that we will vividly remember and cherish in our hearts for our entire lives. We will pass those words down to our children and they will do the same to their's. Words that will bring new meaning to everyone's life and be as important to us as the very air that we breathe. Repeated worldwide for countless generations and guiding the entire human race for all eternity. Ummm, so there is no pressure Whimzy!!

not2old4this: I won't be around quite as much for a while, especially at night. Mr. N2O is severly limiting my access to the computer. I am severly limiting Mr. N2O's access as well.
BERT_X: Ouch!!! Seems to me that the obvious solution is a computer in the bedroom so Mrs N2O4T and Mr N2O4T can both have "access" at the same time!! But, that would make the leaf catching a lot more challenging!! Oh, dear!! I certain hope this mature subject is all above the heads of our younger readers here -- like Maggie and Freya!!

BERT_X: ... so, you see, I have been in panic mode trying to get all of those necessary jobs completed. Then I got abducted by space aliens! And a shot rang out! The maid screamed! A pirate ship appeared on the horizon!! And then .... (continued tomorrow) Well, at least no one (cough, kinzcash addict) started a rumor about why WebkinzGram and I were both absent from this thread at the same time. (wink, wink) Or that maybe a nice looking young cable TV repairman had dropped by my place! Whoa! Let's not touch that last one -- OK?

BERT_X: Good question, what percentage of our posts are actually on-topic? To figure that out, I consulted with the greatest mathematic mind in TV history -- Jethro Bodean of the Beverly Hillbillies. His reply was, "well, naught into naught equals naught -- wait, that ain't right -- ummm, I'll try to figure the gol'darn answer with some more ciphering -- should only take me till next week".

not2old4this: And this is Mr. N2O's assessment of Kinzville Academy: son and I were talking about how much it would cost. Mr. N2O says, "All that money to make them do what?" Son tries to explain you have to pay to teach your pet to blow a kiss whenever you want them to. Mr. N2O tells son that he has "spent a small fortune trying to accomplish similar trick with Mom; doesn't work, save your money."

Mostly I like to do floor assistant and hamburger cook.

I do have several account some more than a year and some only about a month and half.
But I have done floor assistant 1520 times and hamburger cook 1037 times.
