Hello, everyone! As many of you know, the Employment Office changed its behavior in September so that we could no longer "force" our job of choice to appear; instead, we now have to choose from the same across-the-board selection of jobs for a given hour. This caused a major ripple in our ability to count on successfully completing two or three jobs each day. Even worse, many of the younger kids who can only do the easy jobs are terribly discouraged because the jobs they are able to do are not always available. Early on, some of us wondered if there might be any degree of predictability to this new behavior which might help us as we struggle to maintain our usual daily job quota, doing preferred jobs we know we can complete. Tracking the jobs in order to study them for possible patterns is challenging because you can't see what's available in the EO for eight hours after you do a job. That, plus real-life responsibilities such as work, school, family time, sleep, etc. make it nearly impossible for one person to track this activity, unlike other features in WW. So, a terrific bunch of people banded together in unified effort to gather this data, which allowed us to track every hour on most days (except for the WW shutdown time, of course). Our resident forum Numbers Wizard, Bert_X, got wind of our mission and embraced our cause. He wasted no time pouring over the data, night after night, and before long, the result of our combined efforts was: THERE IS INDEED A PREDICTABLE PATTERN IN THE EO! Although Bert discovered a predictable pattern early on, it seems every time his accuracy percentages start to make an exciting climb toward the 100% mark, Ganz throws some new randomness into the picture (for better or worse!). But Bert's prediction homeruns have been high enough to make the list very beneficial for those who are looking for specific jobs. In a perfect universe, we would look forward to once again being able to always choose the job we can do best. But the truth is, we don't know what Ganz may do with the EO. Meanwhile, Bert's daily Prophecy List gives us the option of some degree of control. You will see that Bert is not representing his predictions to be 100% across the board. This is as close as we can come, given the apparent randomness factor that Ganz has thrown into the mix. But the predictions have been frequent enough and stable enough that we (and most especially, Bert) feel it is worth the effort to continue publishing a new Prophecy List on a daily basis, and we hope you will find it helpful in your attempts to schedule jobs. However, this could change at any time if Ganz decides to incorporate a greater degree of (seeming) randomness into the jobs such that predicting them becomes impractical. Or who knows, they may come up with a system that works for everyone and is either 100% predictable or no longer requires the predictions in order to get access to our preferred jobs. One can dream. If that is the case, we will announce it here in this thread, which may include an announcement that the Prophecy List will be discontinued. But for now, enjoy it while you can! Bert's Prophecy List for each new day will appear below this post. I will post updates for the thread in this first post, as necessary. We have also set up the thread so that the first page of posts will always be reserved for additional information that may be useful down the road, as provided by the members who have been at the heart of this project from the very beginning. The Prophecy List would not be possible without every single contribution of job reports that has been provided by all of you who participated in the original thread. We hope you enjoy seeing how the fruits of your labor have paid off! A final note on Bert's list: Unlike the conventional 24-hour calendar that we use in our real lives, Bert's list coincides with a "calendar day" in Kinzville, which begins as soon as Webkinz World comes back up after the nightly maintenance, and ends at the last available job hour prior to shutdown. Producing this list every day requires a lot of behind-the-scenes work and commitment, much of which now falls on Bert's shoulders now that the data gathering process has been largely automated. A big question that we have had from the beginning is whether or not people are truly using the list and finding it useful, or if the amazingly large viewer count in the original job tracking thread was due in large part to curiosity. Fortunately, many people have "de-lurked" themselves to let us know how helpful it has been. We would like to invite you to do the same! Your feedback is very important in letting us know that the Prophecy List is worth the continued efforts to produce it each day. We would also love to invite you to join in the discussion and let us know about your experiences with the jobs. I will continue to monitor this information and send updates along to Ganz from time to time, as I have been told they are listening. Of course, I have NOT been told that they will actually DO anything, but listening ... that's a start! It has been a long and often tedious process to gather the job information around the clock in order to provide the information for Bert. As hard work always has a tendency to do, it has helped to forge a lot of new friendships and in order to make the work seem less tedious or tiring, in our efforts to support each other along the way, we have created a sort of coffeehouse atmosphere in the original thread which often seems to veer off topic. How much can you say about jobs, anyway, before it starts to sound like a broken record. We do a "calibration check" periodically to assure that the thread stays on topic, but I hope you will join us in the fun banter as we continue to show our support for Bert's nightly chore of producing a new list, as well as validate the continued interest in this project. It's a fun place to hang out, and we hope to see you here! We have closed the original job tracking thread, but there were many, many open-ended conversations in there that may have found their way to our new home. If you would like to view the original thread, you can find it here:
You can also find an archival list of all of the jobs that have appeared since we have started tracking them in this post: And if you're interested, you can find the screenshots of the jobs for the current day here:
Bert and our team of dedicated Ace Reporters provide commentary throughout the day as each new job hour passes and they reflect on the hits and misses and new surprises, so we invite you to check the thread often to keep up with the latest happenings! Enjoy! You can hold over T. Von Meows jobs by "FREEZING" them. When you need more time to do your job but can’t do it in the window of time that it is offered, take back some control. Here is how! 1. When the hour is getting ready to turn, leave your Employment Office window frame open. 2. Continue to stay logged on in this manner until you are ready to do your job. Do this before the turn of the new hour, which will help to avoid affecting your pet meters. 3. Then perform your job as you usually do when you are ready. Hopefully this will insure you more kinzcash because you will be better prepared and more organized to do your favorite job.

Hi, I'm the member formerly known as 2old4this, until BERT_X re-christened me not2old4this. The gang here shortened it to N2O because (just between you and me) they are lazy. I am the weak link in the chain. I type so slow I often have to re-log in when I'm ready to post. It has taken me forever to even find my way here and now I'll just have to wait here for someone to come get me. I wish I had dropped pixels on my way here so I could find my way back to the old thread. I'm looking forward to seeing the journeys into silliness continue. There are wonderful people here - generous and intelligent who have shared many long days and late nights at our old thread. It is nice to find a honored position as as sticky now. You all deserve this honor for slaving away to find a pattern in the whims of one Tabby Von Meow.
Here are some tips I've found helpful on different jobs.
1) This was posted by yournotme on page 277 of this thread. I hope you don't mind I wanted to stop by and give anyone who is interested some little tips on how I've been able to do really well at Kinzpost sorter. Now adding the pic should take me an hour LOL. Click this bar to view the full image. First of all it helps to know you don't need to drop the box at the top just get them over to the column. When the game starts I try to make a quick a guess at how many boxes I need (the maximum number is eight (sorry I can't put the number in) now just bring the boxes over and start dropping them in the rows you choose. I try not to got to far over the desired amount but sometimes it can't be helped. I fill every column to the top trying to stay near my target amount but I don't go for exacts I'll put the smaller numbers in the larger columns knowing eventually the larger ones come. Now take the couple of extra boxes and fill the side right (I prefer to leave one space open) and let the conveyor belt run so 3 boxes remain and hit pause. Surprisingly 95% of the time these are all the boxes you need. This should leave you approximately 92-94 seconds to enter the math phase.
Make sure when your at this phase if you want to switch out numbers you put them on top of the boxes you want to switch with. I'm no math guru that's for sure but I quickly switch boxes where necessary trying to hit my total. Once a column is done I try never to undo it. I randomly look at each and determine what I need if I'm 4 over I look to find a match in another column or something as close as possible (switching a two and a six or a seven and a three). Now say I need 14 and another column has an 18 I switch it knowing it's easy for me to make up the 4 by switch lower boxes. There are times when the last column won't work I know what I need say 5 more I look at each of my numbers and turn the belt on waiting for a number that can work to come out. I hope this makes sense. If you have any questions just ask.
2) I have posted the wrong link to this one two times but found the correct link this time This thread is an awesome guide for Grocery Clerk with helpful pictures. http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/...-t114845.html?
I can now sometimes complete this job on Level 3 with more than 30 seconds to spare. The higher levels actually seem easier on this job so keep trying. I love it now.
3) Elubin's site has tips on most (if not all) of the jobs. Here is the link to his job tips page: http://www.elubin.com/webkins/game_hint_emp.asp?id=39
The tip I saw here on ignoring the bottom right tile when doing Flooring Assistant was very helpful. Only the other 5 tiles are used. For the longest time that was the only Medium Level job I could do on Level 3.
Hope these tips I've collected are helpful to some of you. Last edited by Pom; 03-03-2008 at 10:48 PM.. | | | 10-19-2007, 08:27 AM | #10 | Gifted Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 495 | Re: Employment Office Daily Job Predictions! Good morning, everyone!
Welcome to our new home! I'm looking forward to seeing what new enlightenment we will be treated to now that we will be enjoying our prominent "always on top" position in the Jobz forum. I would like to welcome all the visitors and encourage everyone to drop in and let us know what it's been like for you since the Employment Office changed its behavior. And most importantly, we would like to know if you are using Bert's Prophecy List, how you are using it, if you are finding it helpful as you attempt to maintain your daily job quota. Many of us are still struggling to even find jobs that we can do at all with the new schedule because we all have our favorites (especially for Kinzcash payout levels) as well as jobs we can do well and those we just totally bomb at most of the time, if not every time. We hope to see all of the "regulars" from the old job tracking thread, and we look forward to meeting the new folks who have been lurking or are finding us for the first time. Drop in and say hello!
