With how good these boosts have been, it tempts me to not do full combos and start eliminating by hunger boost.... Well, I suppose that's too risky and it is SO much easier just to be able to post full combos on Amneris' thread. __________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | | | 12-05-2008, 10:20 PM | #102 | So this is love Gift Guru Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 4,982 | Re: Help Verify Hunger and Health Boosts of Unsolved Recipes Originally Posted by monkeecj Those are correct.

I think that with YTT it would not be a risk to go by health boost, because it is so high. I would make the assumption that it has at least 8 health, and that eliminates all ingredients with -1 or 0 as a health boost (I'm assuming that carrot cake won't be in it, although it's possible). __________________ Hooray for Pat for solving Yummy Tummy Tumbler!

I came upon the Hunger boost thread on WI and I decided to feed it to my pet to verify the information. I wrote down all the information, here it is:
Before Demitasse After Demitasse Difference:
Happy: 88 Happy: 97 Happy: + 9
Health: 88 Health: 97 Health: + 9
Hunger: 64 Hunger: 70 Hunger: + 6
I hope this helps. | | | 12-07-2008, 06:25 PM | #104 | aseals2 Gift Guru Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 2,186 | Re: Help Verify Hunger and Health Boosts of Unsolved Recipes Hptigerlily posted:
Okay so I finally got my numbers down to test Demitassi Lassi.
Before:
Hunger 62
Health 85
Happiness 87
After:
Hunger 70
Health 95
Happiness 97
So that means
Hunger + 8
Health +10
Happiness + 10

So what numbers do we use? Maybe it's a changing recipe, meant to confuse us... | | | 12-07-2008, 08:28 PM | #105 | YAY Chopin!!! I have verified the boosts for Demitasse Lassi, and hptigerlily's boosts were correct. The numbers are:
Hunger - 8, Health - 10, Happiness - 10 __________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Last edited by monkeecj; 12-07-2008 at 08:28 PM.. I did find ONE pattern in blender recipes if anyone is interested, even though it doesn't help us much:
Happiness boost is always the same or MORE than the total of the ingredients. So happiness can be inflated, but not deflated.
For example, YTT probably isn't Raspberries, Green Grapes and Raisins, because the happiness boost of those three ingredients totals 6, while the recipe's happiness boost is only 4. The happiness boost of the ingredients SHOULD total 4 or less.
Unfortunately, the pattern didn't hold for health or hunger. All but once, health was equal or inflated, but we already know health will be inflated because there's really no way to get to 12 with the remaining ingredients. And hunger was all over the place. Ignoring Bindy has been very hard!
Okay, here are the results:
Happines boost = 5
Health boost = 6
Hunger boost = 10
Phew! Off to bath, feed, and go to the arcade with Bindy! I had one but I was not willing to part with it.
I've been thinking about all 4 of the recipes this week, and I think Demitasse Lassi should be the easiest to solve if we go by the boosts. The health and happiness values are both 10, which are pretty high. When I first recorded the boosts for Rextexmex, I noticed that the health/happy values were also the same - 8 each. That's one of the reasons why I chose chicken nuggets as one of the ingredients, because the health/happy boosts were both 3.
So here's my breakdown for DL (going strictly by the boosts):
A. one ingredient where the health and happiness values are both 2, i.e. CNS, chocolate milk, dragon fruit, green grapes, pancakes*, pizza*, ramen*, and strawberries.
B. one ingredient where the health is somewhat high, in the 3 or 4 range. This includes many ingredients, but the healthiest are broccoli, salad, granola*, and carrot cake. Carrot cake's hunger is too high so that can be discarded. Also, the happiness boost should be 1 or higher preferably, so that rules out broccoli and salad. Conclusion - an ingredient with a health boost of 3 and a happiness boost of 1+.
C. one ingredient with a high happiness boost. Chocolate pudding, marshmallow, and waffles* are the three highest, but pudding and marshmallows don't have a good health boost**. Raspberries have a boost of 2, 2, 3 so that would work really well. No other ingredient has a happiness boost of 3 and a health boost of 1+.
*The highest possible hunger I would test would be 11 for this recipe, so all these ingredients could work, as long as two of them are not in it.
**It's also possible that the second ingredient will be granola or salad as long as it's paired with chocolate pudding as the third ingredient.
I ran tests according to this strategy the week the DL boosts came out, but I was only focusing on the hunger boost of 8. I'll run some more tests tonight using a higher hunger boost.
---------- sydney88 added 1055 Minutes and 29 Seconds later ----------
The above strategy didn't work out as I hoped, but I've moved on to another strategy that is similar. I'm operating under the assumption that the hunger has a range of 5 - 11, health is 6+ and happiness is 6+. If that doesn't work out, then the happiness must be 5, or the hunger must be 12.
---------- sydney88 added 28 Minutes and 12 Seconds later ----------
Two things to add above: carrot cake definitely can't be in it. I forgot it was part of the DL set. Also, macaroni and cheese has a boost of 9, 1, 3, but I had already tested it with a few 1 hunger ingredients, so I think that idea can be discarded. __________________ Hooray for Pat for solving Yummy Tummy Tumbler!
