I would so love to get one but the chances are very slim, after all there aren't many secret recipes, right? | | | 09-30-2009, 10:54 AM | #2 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 32 | Re: Secret recipe trophy I sure hope not. I haven't been doing this for that long, but it is fun and I enjoy seeing everyone's thoughts and Amneris' list is such a great tool for everyone. No one could do this alone - KC, time, etc. | | | 09-30-2009, 11:20 AM | #3 | Gifted Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 611 | Re: Secret recipe trophy I agree that no one can do this alone and hope everybody keeps sharing their findings. I just starting making full combos and I plan on keep doing it when I have KC available. | | | 09-30-2009, 11:52 AM | #4 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 643 | Re: Secret recipe trophy Well, I have to admit that I have some mixed feelings about the new trophy.
On the postive side I think that it's great that they are finally having some sort of prize for making the recipes. I think it will encourage a lot more people to help out and start cooking in the kitchen if they know they will get something out of it. So recipes will probably get solved a lot faster. And not take two plus years to solve.
But, I am afraid that it may create some competition among some people and create hard feelings. I hope that people will still continue to share their information so that we don't duplicate what others have already tried. But I could see some people keeping their combos secret because they are afraid someone will solve it before them. And who can blame them? It is frustrating when you put so much time and money into solving a recipe and then someone comes along to help and then they solve it.
And I also don't think it's fair to those of us who have already solved recipes to get nothing. I am THRILLED that ClaraZ25 is still going to get a trophy because he deserves it for solving YTT. But what about AChip or Monkeecj or everyone else who has solved a secret recipe? Is Ganz going to give them a trophy too? That just doesn't seem fair to me, but whoever said life was fair. | | | 09-30-2009, 11:56 AM | #5 | So this is love Gift Guru Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 4,992 | Re: Secret recipe trophy Yeah, I think Ganz should reward those people who solved recipes in the past... (of course, I'm a bit biased about that). LOL!
I think ClaraZ25 definitely deserves that trophy, though! And I think it is very exciting that there will be more recipes in the future! Monkeecj will be very happy to hear that, because he was so worried about it. If they award a Secret Recipe trophy for future recipe solvings, then I am very afraid that there will be too much competition and high hopes. For me, solving recipes has a very intrinsic value. | | | 09-30-2009, 12:05 PM | #6 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 32 | Re: Secret recipe trophy Originally Posted by hptigerlily Well, I have to admit that I have some mixed feelings about the new trophy.

I'm sure you are right and it will definitely create some added competition. I know people were upset that as a new member I solved a recipie. My intention wasn't to step on toes - I actually felt bad when I saw some of the reactions. I just wanted to join the hunt and honestly got lucky with the combo choices I made. So, I am sure those feelings will just intensify with the added incentive.I was wondering that myself about the "past" solves too. Not just for me, but especially for folks like you mention who have been doing this for a long time and have solved more than one. Seems a little unfair for all their hard work not to get the same recognition, but as you said, who said life was fair? | | | 09-30-2009, 12:27 PM | #7 | =^..^= Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 16,899 | Re: Secret recipe trophy I'm sure there will be competition... but there always has been. I hope that because we are all friends we won't want our friends to be wasting kc on things we've tried and failed at!
I would love to see past recipe solvers receive the trophy too!!! There's only about 60 or so that would have to be rewarded to people... not too tough a job for Ganz! __________________ ♥CoCoaBean..................................................Thanks to Delilah for my siggie! ~ Check out the WIki for lots of great Webkinz & Webkinz Insider Info! ~ | | | 09-30-2009, 12:29 PM | #8 | Banned Join Date: Feb 2009 Posts: 3,408 | Re: Secret recipe trophy I think this new trophy is so cool! xD | | | 09-30-2009, 07:11 PM | #9 | superyoshi4 Webkinz :) Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 426 | Re: Secret recipe trophy but wouldnt that be kinda unfair like the cretive director or anon-webkinzinsider may solve them and then no one else gets a trophy __________________ What is Tusslepuff?????

I think you all deserve one especially AChip, monkeecj, kitten496, hptigerlily and son, and fvb, Our Master Chefs. But also cocoa, and sydney you both deserve one too. I do see a possible problem with this trophy. What happens if some one in WW creates a recipe and is not part of a webkinz forum and then someone here on WI solves it. They aren't going to get the trophy even though they are none the wiser that it has already been solved.
And also if Ganz needs a list I have one.

I can assure you he definitely isn't going out their trying to cheat someone out of a trophy. __________________ Way to Go Canada!
