orange
salad
sushi
because according to the first post of this thread, those have already been eliminated with bananas. But you must try it with all 88 other ingredients.
In other words, it must end up like ImTara55's combo above - It would be "gak in the blender - 3/22/09."
Am I just really bad at explaining this.....? I get it now. I don't know how many combos I will be able to do but if I ever do start one I will let you know. | | | 03-22-2009, 09:25 AM | #22 | Chortle All the Way Wiki SysOp Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 5,546 | re: For Recipe-Solvers Eliminating the 8/5/07 Set... Good luck! | | | 03-22-2009, 09:56 AM | #23 | Is Back! Gifted Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 6,840 | re: For Recipe-Solvers Eliminating the 8/5/07 Set... Originally Posted by monkeecj Yep. It would be root beer + apple + everything besides those 18 under "Root Beer" on the first post.
Good luck! Yeah! I'm off to work!

Okay, I am finally done! Root Beer + Apple + EE = GAK in the blender, -18 eliminated ingredients, dated 3-22-09
How's that? Should I post in in Amneris's thread, too? Last edited by Jumping Wizard; 03-22-2009 at 09:56 AM.. | | | 03-22-2009, 09:59 AM | #24 | Lets go G-Men! It doesn't look like a lot, but that's an average of 90 combos PER ingredient. That's a lot of combos left! | | | 03-22-2009, 10:38 AM | #26 | AmericanBaronin Gifted Join Date: Sep 2008 Posts: 3,895 | re: For Recipe-Solvers Eliminating the 8/5/07 Set... The "8/5/07 set" = apple juice, bananas, blueberry cheesecake, candy apple, cornflake cereal, honey, iced tea, jelly, orange, pickles, root beer, and sushi. These are the ingredients in the four recipes that were released at the same time as Yummytummy Tumbler.)
So you're not counting the 12th one {apple juice} because it was eliminated totally anyway, right? | | | 03-22-2009, 10:41 AM | #27 | Chortle All the Way Wiki SysOp Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 5,546 | re: For Recipe-Solvers Eliminating the 8/5/07 Set... How's that? Should I post in in Amneris's thread, too? That is perfect. Thank you for the help - this needs to be a team effort or such a large task will never be completed.
Yes, I suggest also posting in Amneris' thread. Originally Posted by KeyLargo So you're not counting the 12th one {apple juice} because it was eliminated totally anyway, right? Correct.
And the other 11 will be eliminated completely for all recipes. | | | 03-22-2009, 11:36 AM | #28 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 684 | re: For Recipe-Solvers Eliminating the 8/5/07 Set... Okay I think I have this figured out, but let me make sure. Since we are trying to eliminate all these ingredients for all three unsolved recipes, we should not have to redo any complete combos that were done after Feb 4 (I think that is when Abra came out). Let's take root Beer for example. According to your list on the first page the following complete combos were done AFTER 2/4......correct?
almonds
apple bottled water
carrot cake chocolate bar
chocolate milk
cola
fishsticks
granola cereal
milk
orange
orange juice
papaya
peach
popcorn
raisins
strawberry yogurt
watermelon
webkinz crackers
So there have been 19 combos completed. So if I were to try Root Beer + Strawberries, techincally I would only have to buy 76 RB and 76 strawberries and the other 76 ingredients not on this list? Then this combo would have a date of 2/4 and would be valid for all the recipes. Then my next combo would be 75, 75 and so on and so on.
So my question is, would it be better to have several people working on one ingredient or have each person have their own ingredient to work on? I've actually done several of these root beer combos in the last couple of weeks because I think it is possible (because it is bubbly) that it could be in Demetassi Lassi. But since there are a couple of people working on RB already would it be better for me to pick orange and start doing combos with that?
What do you guys think. I'm torn. In some ways it makes it go faster and it's more fun when you are working with someone else, but it also gets more confusing. I'm actually working on RB... it's not MINE, but I kind of "called" it in a way. I think someone else has orange, too, Pat maybe? I can't remember. I think we are kind of each taking ingredients, so if you'd like to take one you can announce it on here. I think that should be good enough. There are only a few of us that are the "big" recipe solvers, so this thread is to help us out in a way. Does all that make sense? If you have any other questions, I suggest asking monkeecj as he is way more experienced than me in this subject! | | | 03-22-2009, 12:28 PM | #30 | Call me Pat!
