For Recipe-Solvers Eliminating the 8/5/07 Set...

Please take this off my list as I will no longer be doing them.

sydney88 - bananas + strawberries, bananas + strawberry yogurt

I am only doing full eliminations for YTT...frankly I do not care about DL and Abra so I'm not looking to eliminate up to 2/5/09.


LOL. I agree that this should not be a sticky...it's just a temporary thread anyway as we will solve all three of these recipes soon.

Who wrote "es las naranjas!!!" Because naranjas are plural so it would be "son las naranjas." And I do believe that oranges sound good for these recipes, too!

Well, it is just to make our jobs easier once YTT is solved, but do what you wish. How much nicer it would be if we didn't have to go over your combos with present-date ones and repeat all of those tries..... And how do you know that we haven't made a mistake up to this point? It would be verification.

You won't have to do that...I only want to do FULL eliminations. So all of my combos will have a present date. I just don't want to do full eliminations if it's already been done for YTT.

Does that make more sense?

I was cutting a sentence very short and making implications.... Wouldn't "es" be fine if I was trying to say "It is oranges!!!" as in "the recipe uses oranges!!!" or "what we need to use is oranges!!!" I wasn't trying to state "They are the oranges!!!"

But I should just get rid of it because I have no idea what I am talking about.

And it sounds more amusing if it is not grammatically correct!

I am glad you are trying full combos.... I guessed that you might have meant that, but I wasn't completely sure.

If you want to say that the recipes use oranges, then I would say:

"se usan las naranjas" which literally translates to "oranges are used" but I believe that works well for what you are trying to say.

Well just so you know that will bother me FOREVER. I find English grammatical errors funny when done on purpose, but Spanish grammatical errors bug me to no end!
