I hate gak.
Hmmm which strawberry combos are left? I would love to do one or more because I have 2 huge strawberry gardens and that would help not having to buy so much. lol I can get the strawberry list for you later today, but I would prefer it if no one used farm fresh fruits and veggies for testing. There was a glitch with one recipe (Astormishing Sandwich) when it first came out that it wouldn't accept farm fresh watermelon as an alternative to W Shop watermelon. I'd rather not take the risk. Please let me know if the strawberries + sushi combo you did was with farm fresh strawberries, so that I can note that on the list. Thanks! Here is what I have done so far....
- made a list of all W shop foods
- copied your list for bagel eliminations already done
- pasted the listed side by side
- then I went through and figured out each food not eliminated yet (quite a big list with bagel)
What I plan to do...
- start at the first food; test it with bagel and all the untested foods (ie. Bagel + baked beans + EE)
- go on to the next untested food, (ie. Bagel blueberries + EE) deleting the food I just tried (baked beans in this example)
- move down the list
Is this the right way? Or should I be testing bagel with all foods that don't have the 10/1/07 date beside them? | | | 04-14-2009, 11:54 AM | #1014 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 684 | Re: List of Eliminated Recipe Combinations, Volume 2: Updated 4/14/09 1:20 a.m. Ginger Ale + Orange + Everything = gak in the blender 2/05/09

Is this the right way? Or should I be testing bagel with all foods that don't have the 10/1/07 date beside them? Bflyangel, the way you are doing it is fine, and you can post the date of your combos as 10/1/07. You can basically ignore the dates on the list when you exclude things. The difference here is that some of the bagel combos have the (-8/5/07 set) notation by them (that notation wasn't on any of the asparagus combos). When you get to the bagel combos actually involving the 8/5/07 set (apple juice, bananas, blueberry cheesecake, candy apple, corn flake cereal, honey, iced tea, jelly, orange, pickles, root beer, and sushi), you'll need to do complete combos producing 95 gaks (bagel + blueberry cheesecake, for example) and post them with the date you tried them.
Note to everyone: This is one way to do it; another way is to just do complete combos on everything. See Cocoabean's stickied thread for a better explanation. The important thing is that you let me know which way you're doing it. Our chefs, led by Monkeecj, are currently trying to test the necessary combos so that we can do away with the (-8/5/07 set) thing altogether. | | | 04-14-2009, 02:04 PM | #1016 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 684 | Re: List of Eliminated Recipe Combinations, Volume 2: Updated 4/14/09 1:20 a.m. Banana + Strawberry Yogurt + Everything = gak in the blender 4/14/09

I will check out the other thread as well. I may bypass the larger combos (-8/5/07 ones) for now but not too sure.
