Please remember that I am new to this and very nervous about posting our rooms for viewing. I work hard to make our rooms pleasing and sometimes take hours upon hours to get a room “right”......I am rarely satisfied with them. Even when I think a room is finished, the first time I return to it, I find that I need to change something. I welcome your comments and suggestions; I just ask that you please reply in the manner that you would want someone to respond to you.

I am aware that inspiration often comes from looking at other people's rooms designs but please do not copy my rooms, whether posted here or on another thread.
If you see an idea you would like to use ~ please ask ~ before you use it. Most especially if you are entering a room design contest.
While it is flattering to have someone wish to use an idea, it is not so wonderful when your design appears several times in a contest ~ particularly when you are using that idea yourself.

Just a little background; Midnight was our first Webbie and therefore is the Mistress of our Webbie home. Midnight is the daughter of two black cats who were both born on Halloween and love all the dark parts of Halloween including playing not-so-nice tricks on everyone. They were so sure their darling daughter would arrive on Halloween too and share their love of all things magical. However, Midnight is not like her parents and does not share their enthusiasm. She does love Halloween ~ just not planning tricks to play on it everyday of the year. Besides, she loves the treats so much more than the tricks.
Because she was born to magical parents, she does have her own magical abilities. Nevertheless, as is often the case, two negatives can produce a positive. Midnight has the wonderful ability to make many loyal friends and has the biggest and kindest heart. She spent years in school and traveling the world before she decided it was time to find a place of her own somewhere out in the country.
After much searching, Midnight found some land that spoke to her. It had some open fields, some wooded areas, a sweet little cottage, and plenty of space to plant more than a few gardens.
Being the wonderful hostess that she is, Midnight invites you to come please relax, get comfortable and take a little tour. Refreshments are available ~ please help yourself.

We begin our tour outside with the front yard. Since first impressions can make all the difference, Midnight spends many hours tending her flowers. With just a little touch of magic, her flowers continue to bloom in the winter and make a lovely contrast with the white snow and the pine tree that is all lit up for the Christmas season.

We will continue our tour outside and stop at the love garden dedicated to my parents, loving grandparents, and the best great grandmother in the entire world. All our Webbies love to come here and enjoy the sound of the love fountain and smell the wonderful aroma of flowers.

Our first stop will be to see Vanessa's hideaway. Vanessa loves two things very much: the color purple and oranges. She has a visitor right now so we won't interrupt the conversation but she is telling Cherise that she wants a roommate. * Shush * don't tell but a very special roommate should arrive any day now.

Being a butterfly, Vanessa also loves flowers ~ and of course flowers attract butterflies. Vanessa's designed her garden as a place of rela***ion and as a home for butterflies. What a surprise it was when Vanessa went out one morning and found the Zangoz trees. Vanessa and the butterflies just love him and he is welcome to stay as long as he likes.

Our next room belongs to Goldwyn. He is a very handsome and proud General in the order of the Griffins. He takes his responsibilities very seriously and loves to be surrounded by reminders of his assignment, although he will tell you he much prefers the comfort of his room to the sparsity of a tent.

Leaving General Goldwyn to ponder his responsibilities we stop in to see the lovely Lady Amalthea. As we look in we see that she is having a conversation with the young Anastasia who wandered out of the magical forest one day and followed the Lady Amalthea back to her room. True to their loving hearts, Midnight opened her home and the Lady Amalthea offered to share her room with the lovely Anastasia.

Moving to the outside of the house, we come to some of the food gardens. Midnight and all our Webbies love fresh fruit and vegetables. They just cannot get enough of them, so they grow all that they can and any extras are sold at the farmer’s market.

Here we see Enigma making sure the corn maze stays weed free.

Next we see our four resident bunnies preparing to harvest the carrots. They took over the job of tending the carrot patch when Comet and Bambi used all the profits to buy the fountain that now graces the center of the garden.

Next is the first strawberry garden. Strawberries are a favorite in our Webbie home. Midnight works just a little bit of magic to help the strawberries continue to grow even in the snow. In this strawberry patch, Chef Cocoa discusses with Midnight how they can convince Ganz, their local plant supplier, to start carrying raspberry plants.

Our second strawberry garden belongs to Pearl the snow woman. She just loves strawberries so much, she had to make her own strawberry maze and with a touch of Midnight's magic the strawberries continue to grow and look lovely against the white snow.

Having lived in a cold area for a long time, Pearl just can't believe that everything grows so well. Even harder to believe is that the snow does not stop the growing season or a harvest. Since arriving, Pearl has been bitten by the gardening bug and has become an avid gardener.

In addition to gardening, Pearl has another love...swimming. She just can't get over the fact that here she does not melt ~ no matter what the weather. Whether it is hot, she is caught in the rain, or swimming in her pool Pearl loves the fact that she does not melt away. Here is one of her favorite places to be ~ even if she is not gardening or swimming.

Our next visit is the first pumpkin and watermelon garden on the property. Pumpkins were a big deal for our Webbies this year. They sold a record number at the market and still had plenty for Chef Cocoa to make lots of punchy nutkins, scary berry crunch, spinneretti, and one of Midnight's favorites ~ trickle treacle.

We will now stop into the main kitchen where Chef Cocoa does most of the cooking. This room is always busy and today is no exception. We see that Chef Cocoa has just finished packing one of her famous picnic baskets and it looks like Tonio has decided to relax with an episode of The Secret Chef after supervising two of the Lil'Kinz in making a miniature volcano for their latest science project.

We will now go inside to see some of our Webbies living quarters. Our first stop will be the spa. This room is very popular with all our Webbies, especially after gardening or after completing their daily workout.

Next we will stop by the blue den. This room was created for a contest that specified the room must be done in blue. Only small touches of other colors were allowed. The room came out well and our Webbies love the tranquility and calm it has, so we decided to keep the room. Here we see Liberty just sitting back and relaxing.

Our Pegasus has a name that suits her beautifully; Aldora is Greek for winged gift. Aldora loves to fly and when she is not flying loves to spend time in her room. It appears we have arrived when she must be out but as you can see, her room is reminiscent of being in the clouds.

Like the rest of our Webbies, Aldora has a favorite outdoor spot. However, her favorite spot is not a garden but a meadow inside the enchanted forest where daisies grow and sometimes one sees a magical dragonfly.

Next we will stop by and see Terrah's lovely room decorated with rare Aztec treasures. Terrah also loves flowers and as you can see red ones top the list.

Continuing on we come to the Pandas retreat. Our first Panda Clara was so lonely that she asked Midnight if she could have some friends for a visit. Midnight, of course, said yes and not only did they come and visit, they moved in permanently! The trio is very happy and everyone in the house just loves the peace and tranquility that they spread. Unfortunately, we can't talk to them right now, as they are all taking a much needed nap.

Stepping back outside we see another one of our inclusive gardens, where our Webbies grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

Of course when all the work in the vegetable garden is done, one must have a place to go and relax. This garden is a favorite early in the morning and again in the evening.

Moving on we come to our first Halloween themed room. Having spent the first part of her life with Halloween as the focus everyday, Midnight does sometimes miss it. When she starts to feel a bit nostalgic or homesick she uses this room. Since we began Webkinz just after Halloween, we missed the theme but through the generosity of friends and the wonderful Gift Exchange we had the ability to design this room. We want to take a moment and say thank you to everyone who helped make this dream room possible.

Of course, Halloween is not complete without pumpkins and our next stop is our great pumpkin patch. Drumstick the Turkey loves to sleep outside in hopes of meeting the Great Pumpkin. Sshhh, don't tell him that Halloween has passed. It appears the pumpkins are all ready, maybe we should move on before we find ourselves put to work.

Just as fall is not complete without pumpkins, summer needs watermelons and here we have a garden full. There is nothing quite the same as fresh watermelon on a hot summer day or any day that you just feel like some. Thanks to a touch of Midnight's magic, we have watermelon 365 days a year.

Midnight has many friends around the world and they know how much Midnight loves being outdoors and gardening. They have generously been sending exotic seeds to her and she has planted them out near the edge of the Magical Forest. Whether it is the magical soil, her magical touch or just good old fashioned loving care, the exotic food garden is thriving. Today Chusi is checking the readiness of the harvest; m-m-m those marshmallows and candy canes look delicious.

Spring is in the air! With the coming of spring comes beautiful flowers, their lovely aroma and thoughts of romance. Here is our special courtship garden, celebrating spring, romance, and providing the perfect place to inspire the romantic inside and get to know that special someone.

This is our Sweetheart Retreat Room and it is located in the castle tower away from the noise and bustle of the other rooms. Of course, guests indulge in meals especially prepared by the gourmet chefs and delivered to the room by a very quiet and discreet staff member.
Special care has been taken with the flowers arrangements, large boxes of Sweetheart Chocolates are ready for sampling, and the staff has just delivered a fresh pot of Love is in the Air tea. Our guests are due to arrive in a few moments.

Even sweethearts need fresh air and we have just the place. Outside our Valentine's Sweetheart Retreat is our Sweetheart Tree Top Hideaway. Webbie sweethearts can sit and enjoy a lovely moonlit night, take a stroll, or take a ride in our special love hot air balloon.

We just designed this room for a Magical Forest Room Contest.

Early one evening the unicorns Lady Amalthea and her cousin Lady Anastasia decided to take a walk in the Magical Forest. They had been walking awhile when through the trees they saw what looked like a rainbow. They followed the lovely colors and were surprised when they came upon a small clearing filled with fragrant flowers, beautiful trees, and a clover patch that seemed to have golden coins growing in it.
Amalthea and Anastasia could not believe how gorgeous everything was. Beautiful rainbows rose from what appeared to be pots of gold, a lovely gleaming waterfall filled the air with its melodious gurgling, and a tree appeared to be covered in butterflies while several unique star-shaped trees looked like giant magic wands. There was even one tree that had a trunk of sparkling pink crystals!
Anastasia had just asked Lady Amalthea if she heard the soft whispering when two patches of flowers stood up and introduced themselves as Fleur and Flora, the Floral Fox sisters. As Fleur and Floral explained that the clearing was magical just like the surrounding forest, they all heard a lively jingle and a leprechaun appeared in the clover patch. Before anyone could say another word, he disappeared back into the clover patch only to reappear in another spot!
While the four new friends chatted about the magical forest and watched for the leprechaun to reappear, several brightly colored creatures began fluttering around the clearing. At first Amalthea and Anastasia thought they were butterflies from the butterfly tree; imagine their surprise when they realized they were not! Fleur and Flora explained the small creatures were called Zums, they were as magical as the forest itself, and that the whispering Anastasia had heard was just the Zums saying hello.
