I envy you your pixel manipulation ability. I have nothing better for pixel manipulation than SM Paint.



I'd love to be able to do the kind of things that you, A2A and Meadowlark (when she was among us) do with removing buttons, stray doors, adding text, etc.

Thanks again, Kitty! What an honor! It's the Kinzville equivalent of being on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives!!

:el1: Twining's favorite items in both of these diners are:

1. The old 1950s style red car: even Twining isn't old enough to remember
when these were really around, but he loves the retro look.
The front end is a stove, and the back end is a storage trunk
where he likes to keep spare aprons and chef hats.

2. The flashing neon sign: again we just love that 1950s retro look.
It reminds us of the 1980s TV series, "Happy Days"!

Splash loves the Jukebox in her diner:
It plays all the great classics from the 70s, 80s, and 90s!

We think all three of the above items go particularly well with the diner theme. We selected the black and white tile flooring from the greenhouse/atrium theme, rather than the diner theme flooring. We like the higher contrast.

Thanks for the compliment, Hmm!
I did these all in Microsoft Paint.
I removed the buttons by copying and pasting over them using the dashed selection box at the top of the tools column, and copying the background color over them.
to get the dents out of the top of the walls, I copy a similar part of the wall next to the missing spot, and paste it in.
This is easy for most wallpapers, but difficult for the Santakinz theme with the garland.

These little fix-ups are easier if you zoom in to about 400% under the view menue (custome size)

The paint bucket tool will color your background any color you like.
To add text, you select the "A" tool, select the area where you want to add it, and select the lowest box on the left so the background is transparent.

i think they raised the limit per day to something like 48. but i don't know how long it is between each rep to one before you can give to them again. i have been hitting that wall myself. i keep trying and i keep getting that spread it around notice, too.

12/29/08 updates:
Since I've scatttered these over the first 5 pages of the thread, thought I'd at least post a few highlights in one place:

Orville Wright is working on his room:

Orville has moved in with Eagle and resident Cleveland Browns/ Philly Eagles fan, Buzz Aldren. Orville will be residing on post #18 (page 2) of this thread, while Buzz Aldren has been living on Post #42 (page 5) since September 1st.
Buzz is very glad to finally have a companion, after 3 months of living alone in WW. Finally! Someone with whom to discuss the NFL play-offs!

Orville, being the generous Christmas Cardinal that he is, sent his exclusive item to Jingle, Twining, and Dasher, for their "Heads in the Clouds" Rainbow Tearoom. Can you spot the new item?

Darwin the Dolphin, decided after much deliberation, to add a few of the lighted gem trees to his underwater room . . . He's not very happy with it yet... between the low contrast, and lack of character, he knows he needs to upgrade, but can't quite get the inspiration for how yet... Any ideas?

Jingle, the BWCheeky Dog (Protagonist of Jingle's December Dilemma - Link in my siggie), did one last update on her Jolly Jellybean kitchen, just in time for Christmas Morning!
