I borrowed the antlers for the photoshoot. I tried to convince Mysterio to take off his glasses, but he could not do it.

The Many Dilemmas of Horton the Elephant

Poor Horton! He promised to sit on that egg until the lazy Mayzie Bird came back, but now he has been trapped in the circus where audiences come to laugh at him sitting in his tree.

Wait a minute... that bird... is that Mayzie, come back to watch the show?

Then they hear a cracking sound! Can it be the egg, hatching finally at last?


"But it's mine!" screamed the bird, when she heard the egg crack.
(The work was all done. Now she wanted it back.)



Poor Horton backed down
With a sad, heavy heart...

But at that very instant, the egg burst apart!
And out of the pieces of red and white shell
From the egg he'd sat on so long and so well,
Horton the Elephant saw something whizz!

IT HAD EARS
AND A TAIL
AND A TRUNK JUST LIKE HIS!



My word!
It's something brand new!
It's an ELEPHANT BIRD!

And it should be, it should be, it SHOULD be like that!

Because Horton was fairthful! He sat and he sat!

He meant what he said and he said what he meant..."



... And they sent him home happy, one hundred percent!


A good thing too...

Because back in the jungle...



Those poor Whos on the Dust Speck are going to need all the help they can get. Horton, hurry back there and help them make noise!

I don't write children's books. I've mainly written adult short stories in the fantasy market... but come to think of it, a lot of them had child protagonists. Maybe I should do that!

BACK TO THE MAIN STORY

The Ultimate Pirate Tree House

When Hugh Manatee, Winston, Johann and Ganpati returned from their male bonding experience at the Ship's Wheel Pub, it became clear that maybe Hugh Manatee had had a bit to much of the Blue Brandy he loves so much. He started telling the kids stories about a massive tidal wave that had hit the island years ago and stranded pirate ships and treasure chests in the trees.

The kids were so excited that they immediately wanted to explore the island to see if they could find one of the sunken ships in the tree tops... No one was more surprised than Hugh when they did! They found a whole tree house with a treasure chest, and a ship, and lit tiki torches and a table set for a party!

Celeste is begging Shanti to allow the kids to keep this tree house as their own special clubhouse, but Shanti is worried. Someone set this all up, but who? Who else is on the island with them?

Love your treetop room, very creative. So glad to see the sunken ship will go there. I bought one but naturally not on same account as my birds I am definitely going to have to add a bird to that account. What is the item next to Hugh manatee? I must be behind in reading about different new things. I love it

I am so glad that you liked the new room!

That item is the Chimp chair, and it is wonderful. The webbies can climb up in there and sit, and they are sooo cute!

It goes EVERYWHERE in webkinz world, too.

I knew that I was going to use it for a Pirate clubhouse for the kids, but did not realize that it would be in a tree until the new treetop rooms were introduced.

I so agree with you that certain PSIs should go in the tree tops... Unicorns, Cheeky Monkey, Lemon Lime Gecko, Gorilla...

It is so sad none of them do, because the look absolutely wonderful!

Perhaps if we can get Ganz to look at how creative you have been with the limitations they have set of what goes where they would rethink their positions. It does not surprise me to learn that you are published and I totally agree you could write books for children and those of us who still enjoy the better things of childhood... perhaps starting with the wonderful stories that have so entertained all of us here using your rooms as illustrations.

I was absolutely enthralled by your Horton addition... I help my DD write a script a few weeks ago for her cub scouts with the central characters as Horton and Mayzie, Mayzie, Mayzie (Boy Scout Promise). I just cannot think of enough superlatives to describe your talent... I bow to the master and look forward to the continuation of the saga.

Hmm.... love the pirate tree house. i guess phillip is checking things out using the telescope, hoping to catch a glimpse of whoever is on the island with them.

i love the way you set it up. the shipwreck looks great up there. have the kiddies check out the treasure chest yet to see what is harbored inside ?
