SEE NOTE 08/08/09 UPDATE: Sat, 06.22.09 Hi everyone...hope you had a great thanksgiving. I have 17 gardens comprised of almost any combination you can think of. In a 12 day period (tomatos need 12 days) I usually take in from 10 to 12,000 kc. I have found that the number varies each time I harvest. In a months time there is usually one harvest that is lower than the others. I have been gardening for 3 years now and I have never gotten more than 3 carrots to a single plant. Most of the time I get 3-5 strawberries per plant. Also, I haven't noticed any difference in quantity based on watering or not watering. I don't water my gardens, it is a waste of time. Good luck avid gardners and watch for my new holiday pictures coming soon.
Redbear you have posted much valuable information but it seems way more complicated than it needs to be. Gardening is simple, straight forward and above all else...FUN. unlike the real world, we are working in a controlled environment here in WW. There are four basic steps to a successful and profitable garden.
1. Plant
2. Rake or dig if you must
3. Harvest
4. Selll
I love to garden, it is a fun way to get my webbies out for fresh air. __________________ is the place to be Last edited by Nanasrose; 11-28-2009 at 03:41 AM.. | | | 12-16-2009, 09:53 AM | #427 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 269 | Re: Gardening for Profit Guide & 2009 Profit Stats. Am I understanding you correctly - that even though some veggies in the garden are ready to harvest you wait till the rest of the garden catches up then harvest the entire garden all at once to keep all the veggies in sync?
Doesn't that reduce your profit since in effect you have increased the growing days for all your produce?
What I did instead (since only wanted 70-80 plants) was group plants based upon growth state - simply moving the plants which were falling behind. Moving them also makes sure that they aren't in a permanent stuck state. | | | 12-23-2009, 04:20 PM | #428 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Dec 2009 Posts: 50 | Re: Gardening for Profit Guide & 2009 Profit Stats. I am a brand new WI member and avid gardener. I thought my garden of about 15 plants was pretty big until now, and I'm always watering them (everyday if I can), who knew I didn't have to, what a waste of time!
I can't wait to start raking in the KC!!!!!

Now I have another goal in life.

SEE NOTE 08/08/09 UPDATE: Sat, 06.22.09 A question from someone new to your thread (and to Webkinz) ... do the problems mentioned back in '08 about newly adopted pets being dropped into the middle of gardens or getting stuck in gardens still happen or is that something that Ganz took care of? The pets I've adopted all start out right in their new, bare room, and it would seem that using the Map Jump feature would move a pet out if there's no walkway. (Perhaps the Map feature didn't exist in '08?)
I ask because I want to fill my gardens as completely as possible. I've left single blank spaces near entryways just to walk in and turn around, but other than that I want to plant, plant, plant. (I've got one or two that are more decorative with garden variety to feed my pets.)
Sorry if this has been addressed already; I didn't notice it when going through the thread. Thanks! __________________
