I was playing quizzys today and all the times i played the other person quits. I think they should atleast give some Kinz cash to the person who doesnt quit. Even if im am losing at a game in PVP i still play until the game is over. It makes me not to want to go in there and play against other people if all im going to get is people quiting on me. | | | 06-26-2009, 01:45 PM | #22 | Gift Trainee Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 464 | Re: Poor Losers in the PVP tournament area. i would like to say something regarding this issue, okay first off i just want to say that i totally agree with the maker of this thread, i have encountered these people before and it is so annoying, i love when i actually find someone through pvp play that wants to play a few games in a row with me. I was just wondering though, since they did the maintenance there has been a little change in the frequency of players quitting the game. i noticed that sometimes when i go to pvp play, i start to play a game and then a couple minutes later, it says "insertnamehere" has left the game, i go back, search for a new player, same game, and it happens again, then i do the same thing again and it happens again. anyway, i have noticed that it has been happening three times before i can get someone to stay and play a full game. now, my question is, does anyone think that this is a glitch in the pvp play (as in the person on the other end is seeing on the screen that i have quit the game that we were playing in pvp) or do yo you think i have just gotten those types of people a whole lot????? | | | 06-26-2009, 01:53 PM | #23 | Gift Guru Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 5,583 | Re: Poor Losers in the PVP tournament area. I felt bad because it might look like I bailed on a game once, but what happened was I had the Please Wait message for several minutes. I didn't want to bail.
It is very annoying to have someone bail on you. | | | 06-26-2009, 02:08 PM | #24 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 225 | Re: Poor Losers in the PVP tournament area. HAHAHA You guys must people like me then! I love to go out and be the loser (not the quitter). No seriously.
I go out and play a game to the end and don't care if I win or lose. My thoughts are that I have plenty of KC so I don't need the money. I'm just out to play the game. I'm actually happier if the other player wins. I'm mostly out there to play with the game and see what it's like, not for anything else..
Now I have been out there and lately have been getting kicked out of the PVP due to my phone suddenly kicking me off. This has been happening since just before the store theme was added. I can tell you that they changed the timers on how long the phone stays "active". I was waiting for my zone to clear so I could go to light blue so my daughter could invite me over but one of our phones would always die before she could even hit the invite. Gets really old. | | | 06-26-2009, 02:26 PM | #25 | IagoParrot Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 803 | Re: Poor Losers in the PVP tournament area. i hate when people do that! | | | 06-26-2009, 03:49 PM | #26 | Gifted Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 924 | Re: Poor Losers in the PVP tournament area. I have notices the phone thing as well and I do not like it at all. It is so frustrating. Makes me not want to play pvp games at all. They need to make it a little bit longer before it kicks you out. | | | 06-26-2009, 04:11 PM | #27 | Brooke, you're Gifted Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 9,757 | Re: Poor Losers in the PVP tournament area. I hate wasting my time playing games with people who are not big enough to loose and let the other person win the kinz cash. I am thinking of keeping a log of people who do this as to avoid them again in the future.
It just irks me so much because it is such a bad example for younger people . Anyone have any thoughts? I hate it when people do that. It happens to me most in chef challenge. When I have 2 spattualas, and they only have 1, or have none, then they QUIT! It makes me angry. I know how you feel. And you don't win as much kinzcash. It's one thing to quit when you're playing a game in your house (like checkers) and you play against 'opponent' (The computer) but it is childish and rude to quit. I always lose respectfully. | | | 06-26-2009, 04:16 PM | #28 | Gift Guru Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 3,660 | Re: Poor Losers in the PVP tournament area. This sounds like a glitch. I would contact ganz about that. It could also be that you are getting conected to people who are leaving the PVP area as you are searching for a player. Most people will not quit right away they will wait until they know they are going to loose. Now there are times I am sure when someone has to quit for one reason or another but when its obvious that people are quiting so the other person can't win the kinzcash.
I am talking about the people that quit the game right before they are about to loose. I had played a ton of games with this person and they had just beat me 2 times in a row (checkers) they quit on the third game when they realized they did not have any moves left and I would win.
I hope this helps. | | | 06-26-2009, 06:02 PM | #29 | ebkinz fan Webkinz :) Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 466 | Re: Poor Losers in the PVP tournament area. This sounds like what happens to me when I try to play "wacky zingoz" I have a computer that has some kind of problem and I lag a bit and get the hourglass which makes it harder to play this particular game. After my friends challenged me to it a few times, I decided that I would challenge other random people. Well I had 6+ people quit on me so I gave up on that particular game. I think it was because my lag caused lag on their end making it hard for them to hit the zingoz. So to sum up what I've said if you are playing wacky zingoz, I'd make sure my computer isn't lagging or slow. Try a few different games instead of the one you were trying to play too to see if people stick around for those.
The issue with people quitting (mainly in dark blue zone it seems) really bothers me, but I've found that most people in gold will stick around. (It's more of a challenge to beat those people and you need deluxe to get it though.) Once i had to leave because my internet froze. Sometimes that happens with DSL, but i never leave games that i don't 'lag out' of. I think that is unfair, because the person winning. . .it's just not right. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
