WI Peace Pledge - An Offshoot of Hmm's "Bridging the Gap" Thread! Please read and consider signing! UPDATE 4/30: New Peace Images Available!

I am a proud member of Webkinz Insider, and this is my pledge:

I will remember that all other WI members are human. I will remember that Ganz Customer Service Reps are human too, even if I catch one on a cranky day. All are worthy of my patience and respect. I will attempt to see other viewpoints whether I agree with them or not.

I understand that everyone has different levels of involvement in Webkinz World, and will not criticize anyone for being more or less involved than I am. I revel in the fact that no matter how addicted I am to Webkinz, I know that on WI there will always be someone more addicted than me. For the people who are less addicted, well, they have plenty of time to catch up to where I am.

When problems arise, I will count to 10 and smile before I type a post, and remember that even on my best days I am not perfect either. I will do my part to help find the flaws in WW so Ganz can fix them. I will also celebrate the successes that keep me coming back to WW for more.

I will post on positive threads as much as I can, and help out in this great community wherever possible. I understand that it is better to lead by example rather than to cast blame, and I hope that the example I set will be good. Even on cranky days.
As part of my pledge commitment, I will wear and use the {rainbow peace symbol} as a reminder of peace & harmony between WW & WI and proudly sport it!


This pledge was born in Hmm's thread, Bridging the Gap of Trust between WW and WI, and was compiled by Hmm, Exoteric and July from the contributions of many members posting there. We hope that everyone will take a moment to read the pledge and consider signing it, and will use the Rainbow Peace Symbol image wherever a little peace is needed.

Update 4/30/09: Two new images are available for you to display your commitment to the Peace Pledge! You can now choose the Rainbow Peace Dove or Rainbow Peace text in addition to the Rainbow Peace Symbol !

How to Add the Peace Sign to your Siggie!

1. Go to User CP --> Edit Signature
2. Scroll Down and then add the URL in option 1
3. 
4. Add this URL: http://i44.tinypic.com/2zemij8.jpg in the box
5. Click on "Upload"
6. Now, if you haven't used the SIGPIC tags in your siggie yet, click on "Insert Signature Picture"
7. There you have it, the amazing peace sign!

P.S. If you have a siggie picture, just ask me to add the sign, it's sort of complicated.

How to Add the Peace Sign to your Existing Siggie!

1.Go to www.splashup.com
2.Click on “Jump Right In”
3.When it opens up go Open -> New Image
4.Click on the last box, "http://"
5.Paste in: http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...ever/peace.png (we’re using this because it has a white outline which helps it stand out)
6.Then click Open.
7.Go to one of your posts. Right click on your siggie image and go to “Properties”
8.Where it says address, copy it. Repeat steps 3-6 with this URL
9.Go to your peace sign image. Drag a box around it with the Marquee (select box) tool. Go Edit à
10.Go to your siggie. Now go Edit -> Paste. Click on the mouse tool and drag the peace sign where you want it. Click on the Merge Layer down button in the layers dialog, which looks like two down arrows on top of each other.
11.Go File -> Save Image. Stay on the desktop tab to save it to your computer. Press “Save”
12.See where it says “Type:”? Click on the box and save it to a PNG. Now click “Save:”
13.Type in a name and you’re done! Upload it as your siggie!
