Hi, I have a name alternative to add for Violet. My daughter wanted to name her purple goldfish Violet which, of course, doesn't work. We considered the alternative names on the list here, then I had an idea. We typed VIOLET all in capitals, but used the number zero (0) instead of the letter O. It worked! We're not thrilled with using all caps because none of her other pet names are like that, but at least Violet looks like it's spelled correctly. Maybe someone else has already posted to try zero (0) instead of the letter O. I don't know. BTW, this is such a helpful thread! Thank you!

Now I see the zero suggestion at the top of the alternative name list. Still hope it helps someone!

I thought it wasn't too bright to have the name " Ducky" banned when they came out with 3 Googles and a Duck.....

yes, Perse AND Pur are banned. Try Perssephone.

You're welcome! You probably did, lots of people have missed the zero suggestion so you probably pointed it out for someone.

Pistache: TACHE is banned and that's a new one. Thanks for the new banned combo. Gave ya rep pts for it. Spell it Pistach and it will work just fine.

Lord Voldemort & Voldemort: MORT is banned. "Voldemaurt" or "Voldemoret" or "Voldemoort" will work.

tramontana: MON is banned. Try Tramuntana or Tramentana or Tramauntana, all will work.

persefone: PERSE is banned. Perssefone wil work.

It wouldn't let me name my canary Lemondrop, so I named it Lemindrop.
And it wouldn't let me name my squirrel Peanut Nutter, so I just named it Peanut.

It was really dumb of them to ban DUC, and my friend wanted to name her duck, Mr Duck. It didn't work. So she did Mr Quackly.:easter:

This is SO stupid. I cannot name my turtle Heather! I think it's the t in combo with the a?
