The Halloween Gift for 2009. Like/Dislike/Hate? I would like to hear a few opinions, I have a few of my own!

I agree with this statement, You have to remember that we pay Ganz, We are the customer, therefore our cash goes to them. We buy webkinz, and all of the accessories and all of the stuff in the estore that they do not have to pay a soul to stitch. We as consumers of thier product expect a certain level of service from them. We should expect less but receive more which is not often the case with thier product. They are in the business of making money and as long as they can string us along with goodies now and then get us excited with a free nice item here and there we are satisfied and will contine to pay for items like the estore pets.

Myself, I would never buy an estore pet for the simple fact that they in all actuallity cost the exact same as a pet you can pick up out at any shop but you don't get an actual plush. If they would lower the price maybe to 7.00 or so I would consider, but as is no way.

I am somewhere on the negative side except that it was free but then I feel that way whenever we get one of those "gifts" . It is kind of creepy and I am sure there are many who were disappointed because unlike past years, you saw very few pets with the mask on when in the clubhouse. And adding a wshop lollipop as part of the gift??? What is that? I feel because it is a "gift" they do not put in much effort. I agree that it being a hat instead of glasses is an issue. It would look better with a hat of some kind with it but then that would take extra effort on Ganz part. Right now, despite promises, they still have not opened up the park. I just have to wonder how good their programmers are? Nothing works quite right and really, when they add something new they send it out to us to be their beta testers. Whoops, I see I have gone off topic. I will just be putting the new mask in a dresser somewhere and then sit around and wait for the thanksgiving gift of another place setting or turkey on a tray to join it in storage.

I agree with that. In fact, I was wondering why they were being so difficult with giving these items just for that reason. Each click probably paid them some cash. Sort of shot themselves in the foot with how poorly that worked.

This is all much more than we usually get for a holiday. Sure, some of the designs I like better than others; but, I think all of it is fun and I really appreciate Ganz going to the trouble and effort to try and design new things for us to do and enjoy.

We are getting seriously spoiled when we start heavily criticizing things that are free. Ganz didn't have to do any of those things....we should be grateful.

Free? What exactly on WW is free? We pay for every part of any activity on the site. I agree with the post that every once in a while they throw something out there to try to make the site more exciting but that is not free in any way. With all of our hard earned dollars we pay this company,we also pay for the site and its activities. The money also pays the salaries of all their employees which is why we should never accept some snarky customer service persons bad behavior. In fact, I suggest each time we get a difficult CS person, we need to remind them that we pay their salaries. Without us, they would have no jobs. Then ask for a supervisor and speak to them about the CS persons lack of service.

As for the items you listed-Ganz surely got paid for the Snow white ads; I found a diamond for the Witch dress but the code did not work; the candies have been difficult to find all week and when found, made the site freeze up requiring closing it down and starting over; I might be more excited by the pumpkin if we could send or trade it (what is the deal with Ganz and this issue? I came to the conclusion that it probably required paying for extra programming and they do not want to put out that effort. I feel once we have paid for an item we should be able to use it as we want-and yes, we did pay for that pumpkin); and once again, the "free gift" was less then exciting. All of this we pay for. We have a right to be disappointed. Ganz and WW only exist because of their consumer base. We have a right to have expectations and they are not being lived up to. Well, many are still paying but not at this house.

I like the mask (even though it looks like Freddy Kruger) and I like the soda. The Pumpkin Pop is another story! Why put a WShop item (at least until end of today) in something that is supposed to be holiday special I'll never know. In my opinion, if they were going to put a lollypop in the Gift Bag it should, at least, have been special. For instance, how about the Phantom Pop? Would have made more sense than Pumpkin Pop.

The mask wasn't my favorite, but neither was last year's mummy mask, although I think I like the mummy better than this year's. I too think the mask and the zombie make-up should be considered glasses, not a hat. You wear them on your face, not the top of your head.

I do like how people have paired their Deluxe Hypnotic Glasses with the pumpkin mask or the mummy head wrap.

I think the drink is cute, reminds me of the recess drink. I never feed those to the pets, I put them in a fridge.

Thanks to WI I have found the ghost and completed our collections on all seven accounts. Since then I was in the chef room using the special stove when a ghost appeared. For the heck of it, I clicked on it to see if it would give me some kind of message like it did if you clicked on one before your time limit was through........it gave me a 13th piece of candy. I don't know if that is because I haven't designed my pumpkin yet, or if it would have given it to me anyway.

What does the pumpkin look like in a room. Does it show the face you designed or do you have to click on it. Guess I will have to look around here a little more to see if anyone has posted pictures.

I thought the mask was pretty good...the soda was ok (I too send my food into the abyss too guilty to eat it) the pumpking pop could have been something else...maybe the phantom pop or even better a decoration.

Click on WIki at the top of the WI page. Then scroll down to the picture of the ghost and the words trick or treat. Click on that and then scroll down to the bottom of the page. There is the in-room pumpkin that you can design, by clicking the arrows, and you can see how it will look in your room. The two pumpkins have corresponding numbers. Once you design it, it stays that way.

We have a total of 4 Webkinz accounts in our home and not one of us cared for the Halloween gift. I wish you could use the mask in the glasses part so you could wear some hair. The vampire hair might be the only thing that makes that mask look cool. We think the holiday gifts are getting worse and worse. I would have rather had just one really cool item than three dumb ones. This is just our 4 opinions.

I think the mask would have been better if we could wear it with glasses on top or underneath (similar to the pumpkin mask for deluxe.) I absolutely Love how it looks on the lion though, and the other pets look good with it too. The witch soda is okay, but I think the art could have looked better. I think we should have gotten 3 new items- I'm pretty sure that according to the wiki the one year had three new items in the bag. I can accept getting wshop food because it was the same other years, but I don't really care for it. :/
