Mel! Welcome back! So good to hear from you! Regarding the stimming, DS does the exact same thing with his lips! I'm constantly chasing him around with a giant Lip Smacker chapstick to cut down on the damage. He is also a hair twirler. Thank goodness he has beautiful curly hair that we can keep little long so he has something to play with! I'm hoping one day we can turn his "squeaky dance and flap" into something more low key, but I'm not holding my breath...it is what it is and the kids like him anyway.

Congrats on your Unicorn! It sounds lovely!

I remember how much you talked about webkinz helping some of your kids with autism so I suggested it to her. she said after she gets her income taxes back she will be buy it for her kids. everyone have a wonderful week.

My goodness Tribbles, that is awful!! And it sounds very painful!! Take care of yourself!!

I am looking forward to hopefully seeing you and Bub at the parades!

You are right, many of us have found WW a very helpful way to initiate our children into the world of computers!! I remember the initial struggles my son had with the mouse and it is amazing how far he has come!! I credit WW for much of that!!

I have been answering this question on WebkinzNewz the same way!!

What are your pet ideas?

I told DH later that I really wanted it, and he said that I couldn't have a giant stuffed unicorn. Then he asked me a few days later what I wanted for Valentine's Day. A giant purple unicorn! He said that he was getting me something else instead. Well by the end of the day on Valentine's Day, no packages showed up at work for me. Then on the way home we stopped at Walmart. "Walmart! they have pillow pets!" I thought. As soon as we walked in, DH started looking at the stuffed animals by the front door. "I don't think this is the one you wanted." Well they did have my purple unicorn. It's so fluffy! So now I can actually think about other things for more than a minute. Gah! It is not fun to be driven to distraction about not having yet another stuffed animal.
Hello melethana!! I have been wondering what happened to you but I knew you would find your way back to us when you were ready!! I have never heard of pillow pets but they sound like fun! I am glad to hear you got the purple unicorn.

We did not do much for Valentines day. My special DS had reading comprehension for two hours that evening and my youngest had guitar lessons. I spent my evening driving them around and waiting in the car. My DH did get me the Love Spaniel (yes - I hinted)!!

Hi, guys! I've been totally busy lately! I just wanna stop by and share a few things.

First of all, my brothers have a new buddy! This kid is also on the spectrum and he and one of my brothers get along totally well! They have a lot in common, like how much they like writing stories and thinking of movie ideas and stuff like that. So they're gonna make some sort of movie sometime (which they will probably write and act out themselves), and I'm gonna film and edit it. Right now that's one of their focuses on the future so I'm kinda stuck with this job. XD

Also, for the blue pet, that's a good idea! Maybe a Labrador because we have a Labrador at home and no matter what kind of crazy things my bros do to that poor dog, she's still a sweet thing. It would be kinda special to me if they did a Blue Labrador, plus I buy any form of Labrador Webkinz makes. XD

Wow, I just remembered and saw my post from two years ago!

Well, that summer I went into a psychiatrist for some anger issues and came out with a mild Aspergers syndrome diagnosis. I was kinda surprised at first, but when I knew what the symptoms were I started observing them in myself. I always knew I was a touch different.

I do the same things as other kids at school and I'm an A-B student, but I have very very little friends and even have trouble socializing with them!

Now I know why I can never concentrate well on a WW game. It's because they usually repeat or slightly change an objective or difficulty in levels, and it's not enough change to keep me interested. I would totally suggest maybe a 'set up for a party' game where there are different activities for one to do to set up for this party. And at the end there could be a nice animation congratulating the child!

I hope you don't really chase him with chapstick! I have found that putting anti-biotic ointment on my lips before bed does wonders for healing them, but it tastes really bad. There's a new Neosporin brand chapstick that looks like it may work, but I haven't seen it in any stores near me yet.

It's basically a square pillow made out of stuffed animal plushie fur with a head and tail to make it look like one of about a dozen different animals. There is a velcro belt at the waist to have it fold up to be more animal shaped. They're very big and soft.

Hello Blackie!! This is a very busy time of year. I feel like I do not get many chances to come up for air.

That is wonderful that your brothers have made a new friend. It sounds like you are all having a lot of fun! My younger DS is really into making movies right now! He does not actually "film" them but he and his friends set them up and act them out.

Hello and welcome sarah!! My DS would love a set up for a party game. He loves to organize things. When we have a party here he obsesses for days about the positioning of the furniture. Our house is small so when we have many people over we have to do quite a bit of re-arranging!! DS makes maps of the furniture positions, when the day arrives he is there with his clipboard and pencil, really, really early in the morning, ready to get things in their proper place!!

This may be similar to the game you want. It is getting ready for school instead of a party, and it is on Blue's Clues, but it can be fun. I honestly still play it from time to time.
