you are not going to believe what i just read. I have friends that has a kid with autism. he posted an link to fox news about a web browser for kids with autism to make surfing the web easier. Im going to post the link here because I feel some parents may want to look at the article. It may help with this browser to let your child safely search the net and build up there self esteem doing things on their own. I hope in some way this will help someone else here.

Hallo! I have Aspergers ( High functioning autism) and Looooooove WeBkinz!!! I am very hyper now. I am getting webkinz (four of them) on the Black Friday sales. I am cyber schooled. It is very nice. I am there because at my regular schools teeachers don't get what Aspergers is and just think I am some disobedient kid playing dumm. They called me lier and cheater, but I am not. So, now I ahve more time to visit WI and its easier to get homework done without disractions and teaches yelling in my face.

Well okay byez! I have a popsicle!

Meows - how goes the battle? I hope that you are making some headway!! Did your send DD to school today?

It would be great to see you on our weekend away but we would have to talk about that and see if it would be possible. We move around a lot!! We spend time in Grove City, Pittsburgh and Erie. We have even gone to Ohio. Most of our time spent in Grove City is at Midnight of your Thanksgiving day. The next day we head out to Target, Walmart, Toys-r-us, K-mart. We usually go to a different town every year and we decide where we are heading while we are on the go! We barely sleep!! It is MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!!

Hello and welcome!!

I am getting some Webkinz at the Black Friday sales as well!! I cannot wait.

I will need help from all of my American friends. You will have to let this Canadian know where to find the best Webkinz Black Friday sales. I am also looking for wii games that would work well for my special DS. I am hoping for games that are good for gross motor skills, balance etc. Any ideas?

This is a great thread. I know somebody who has a mild case of Autism but plays Webkinz. He loves it, but sometimes it gets confusing. It is easy, colorful and fun to play. He collects his plushies and has play dates with his friends. Thanks for bringing this up!

Hi all, It’s great to see so many new faces.

Once again, been more of a lurker than poster. (Sorry tribbles – duck tape helped but didn’t resolve the issue) I’ve been the one struggling instead of DS though. Long story, short - I have struggled with depression most of my teenage and adult life and have had more or a difficult time this year than most. Been on and off meds along, now permanently on per doctor, which helps greatly but still not completely. I seem to go in cycles and this is just been my bad year, and just haven’t had the emotional stamina or fortitude for posting.

DS is doing OK. For those of you I’ve not met, DS is my preschooler with Down Syndrome with severe GI and feeding issues and hypotonia (low tone). DS has mostly refused to talk in school this year and had decided to have his permanent teeth come in about a year early and not push out his baby teeth. The dentist wants to wait until January to see how many permanent teeth come in and if they will at all push out any of the baby teeth before deciding if we need to extract any baby teeth. So we’re on a “Tooth Wiggling Routine.” Luckily DS doesn’t seem to mind this, but it’s causing all those teething problems and waking up in the middle of the night again. Any one have this problem and any advice?

On a Webkinz front, I did break down and buy the Signature Cheetah, and Strawberry Clouded leopard and a Zummie since our Justice had there 40% off sale. So looking forward to registering all that. Anyone have any experience with the Zummies yet?

Just have to get myself through this rough patch. Luckily the holidays are coming around and my mom will be in town more to help out. Well, you all are in my thoughts and prayers frequently even if I don’t get to mention it often enough.

Especially you Meows (I don’t even know what to say except I am stunned beyond belief how your daughter is been treated – and will be offering up special prayers for you guys to get through this) and Mom2kinzlover ( I hope both your DH and DD recover quickly).

Sorry I didn't have this up sooner. Things have been blah here, but I wanted to make sure I got this in for you!!!

To everyone: Things are not much better, filing a complaint with the state dept of ed. against the teacher. The school dist. is trying to break the law and say if we do not want this teacher around our daughter then they won't give her special ed.

No, I'm not joking. Yes, we know how bad it is. And no, we don't have any good news with this yet. The only update is that I've talked witht he state dept of ed., but nothing from them yet, talked with the main autism center to try to get help to get a pro-bono attorney, will be filing criminal charges against teacher- if it will be allowed to go through (small town crap), and I'm still trying to get a hold of other people to try to help, but I am starting to get so exhausted from it all. I have to type out a statement and you all know what that will do to my shoulder, so it is slow going on top of it all and my daughter is still there.

I really wish karma would visit all of these people: the teacher, the principal, the head of LS.

Will check back in when I can, I am sorry that I haven't been able to do so sooner.

Off to do a little more updating to folks and then some mindless tasks to help me try to fall asleep before 4 AM tonight.

Ms. Buzz- will be sending out a message directly to you later tonight or tomorrow morning- was on phone all day today and yesterday and I just need some rainbows.

*hugs meows* I know its hard but your going to make it thru this. everyone Here is supporting you during this time and by the time this is all behind you...You maybe dealing with different teachers, Head of LS and Principal. Take care of yourself and shoulder...if worst comes to worst...have someone type for ya. If I lived closer I would help you in a heart beat. Your state representatives and senators maybe good people to contact too. You never know how much pull from government officials can help with dealing with stuff like this. The school district cant take away special ed because of you dont want a teacher to be around your child abusing her. Sending prayers and support your way. I know you have a lot to deal with....so if you cant post its ok we understand just let us know when you have time doing push your shoulder too much. We will still be here pulling for you and your child.

*hugs*
