I personally received all 4 sets on Thursday. Each two pets arrived in a separate box with the 10 packs of trading cards. So for those of you still awaiting the arrival of your new pets they are almost home.
As some of you may know already Costco.com has had pairs of Webkinz with 10 packs of trading cards available for a while for $19.97. I just checked today and there were 4 different pairings left and they are now selling for $9.97 for 2 webkinz with 10 packs of trading cards with shipping included. Applicable sales tax is extra. The pairs they had left were: Gecko & Hippo, Retired set of Elephant & Rhino, Lioness & Velvety Elephant and Charcoal Cat & Himalayan Cat. This is a great deal for the trading cards alone nevermind getting the two pets also. I do not have any of these pets in my collection and was thinking of getting the Cat Duo when it was $19.97 beacuse I wanted the Himalayan PSI. I'm really glad that I procrastinated. I don't know which series trading cards they come with but the picture looks like they may be series 2. I bought all four sets because this is such a deal. I just paid $1 a pack for the trading cards alone over the weekend.
*** Updated for new readers. ***
All four sets still appear to be available online.
Non-members can purchase online but will pay an extra $.50 cents per item fee. this means you will pay $10.47 per set of 2 webkinz & 10 packs of trading cards. Thanks to jessicabarnhart & adrkmfdm for that info.
I personally haven't seen the webkinz in my local warehouse store for several months and they were at the higher price back then.
*** update for our Canadian friends. ***
According to lamb this offer is not available to our Canadian friends on the Canadian Costco.com site. Unfortunately the American website does not allow for shipping outside the United States. I guess if you have contacts in the states they could order & then ship them to you themselves possibly.
*** Update for Trading Card Info ***
According to Sempson the trading cards are Series 2. They previously had purchased one of the sets before the latest price reduction.
All four sets are still showing as available on the website as of 1:05AM EDT Saturday. And I just received my shipping notification. It looks like they are sending each set separately because when I checked the tracking number they show 4 packages. Last edited by karrit; 07-24-2009 at 12:11 AM..
