Well, first of all, when my mom was little she had a dog named Noodles & she died. And we had a dog named Winnie, she died 16 days before my birthday & we all cried. AND my grandparents' dog, Mickey, died the day before my grandma's birthday. She was a mini pin. They all share 1 grave, & my mom wrote a poem about them. Here it is:
"If Tears could build a Stairway, & memories a lane. We'd walk right up to Heaven, And bring you back again."
Isn't that so beautiful? We're going to put it on their grave. Umm, but my grandma's dog was a mini pin, & at the vet, we saw a lady with a 1 pound mini pin! My granparent's mini pin was maybe 20 pounds! And of course, we HAD to get 1 too! We got 1 & named it Cocoa & gave him to our grandparents.
That's a sad, story and a lovely poem! But, no offense to your mother, I've read that somewhere before...or a poem like it. IDK. Anyway, I hope you'll always remember the good times of your dogs.
Beautiful poem! I'm so sorry about your dogs. I don't even remember my old dog because I was 3 when she died. But my cat died when I was in third grade, and I cried for a second at recess. My dad gave it to my mom, right before they were married.
