Once this contest ends, will you select the top ten/twenty entries and post them for voting as usual, or will the winner be decided in some other fashion?
WINNIE will be selecting 5 entries as finalists for voting. With this contest, it's just way crazy to think about posting 20 stories for members to vote on. So, we're going to vote on 5 instead. Good Luck!
I don't have Word is there any other way to count the words?
I don't know of another way but perhaps another forum member does. Anyone?
The thing is, we're averaging 100 entries per contest. Without a word limit, poor little WINNIE would never get finished reading all of those stories - and she's a busy little rabbit to begin with! We just can't let the stories get to long. Know what I mean?
It's 100-300 words - not characters. Your portion should be 100 - 300 words, not including the part that's already written. If you type your story in MS Word, Word can tell you how long your document is.
I have microsoft word, but it only counts the characters and spaces...do you know where to look under, or if my best bet would be to just count?
