Official Christmas in July Entry Thread

when there alarm went off, they woke up yawning. " mom" they called, "why did you set my alarm?" they asked sleepily. its summer! i want to sleep in! To there suprise, their room had been decorated for christmas, and there was snow outside. What in the world!!..... they all said. when they went down, there parents greeted them the exact same way that they had on Christmas eve. They all ate the traditional christmas tree pancakes by the fire, and then cowabelle, the smart little girl noticed something. The sun was shining, but on Christmas eve it had been drizzling! OMG!!! Plumpy, she said, its not really Christmas eve is it? Plumpy burst out laughing. "we really had you going huh? we all knew that you kinz have been thinking back to the nice cold winters, and so we decided to prank you! You thought that you had time traveled or something!" Cowabelle called the kinz and told them what she had learned. everyone thought it was very funny. the snow turned out to be potato flakes! to end the day, plumpy poured ice cold water on the kinz letting them feel the cold winter once again. The end!

Oh, this sounded like so much fun, I just had to join!

The webkinz were all exhausted from swimming all day. It had been so hot for the past week. They went to bed dreaming of last winter and how cold it was. When their alarm went off they jumped out of bed, thrilled. They raced each other to the door, and one of them drove to the airport. They had already made plans to fly to a cooler place. But the only tickets that weren't sold out were tickets to Hawaii! Why would they want to go to somewhere hotter? So they all had a plan.

They searched the stores for a snow making machine, but guess what? The store was sold out of them just like the airport was sold out of tickets to Alaska! A little upset and very stumped, they finally came up with one more good idea! They pulled out bags of pillow stuffing and cotton, filling their yard with it. But how in the world could they make it feel like snow? That's when inspiration hit! They turned on the sprinklers to cool water, and played in their make believe snow with their friends all day! And you know what? It might not have been as good as real winter weather, but it was the next best thing!

Stunned and amazed they looked out their window to see several feet of snow! How is this possible? As quickly as their legs would take them they ran to the front door screaming the whole way for their parents to witness the freshly fallen snow. When they opened the front door they saw snow piles and piles as far as they could see on their yard....put something was very strange all the neighbors had green grass with an occasional springler waving back and forth watering the dry grass below. They squeeled with deling and jumped barefoot into the snow. Immediatly they began to play...making snow angels and snow men and emptying the sand buckets near by and filled them with snow to make a snow fort. What a great day! Around the corner of the house they see their parents grinning ear to ear holding a huge snow machine. So they turned the machine back on and continued to fill the yard with fresh snow where they continued to play for the rest of the day.

Susie the Pinto interrupted Lilly. They all went out into the kitchen to grab some hot cocoa and warm cinnamon rolls.

-"Guys, yesterday we weren't stocked up on hot cocoa, we only buy it in winter time!!!!" Susie remarked, noticing what they were drinking. All the other webkinz nodded in reply. "We should see if there is snow!" They all ran to the window, where they saw crystal white snowflakes falling from the sky! All the pets ran out to feel the cool snow. "Man, it's cold out here!" Lilly said, "We should get our winter clothes. They quickly ran inside and found warm snow all day. Then they all went to bed, where the nextmorning they were back in the future.

they realized it was only a dream. Slowly they trudged outside, into their air-conditioned pool, when they saw a mysterious package. It was as big as a house and it only had these words on it: Winter in a box. Of course, most of the Webkinz didn't believe in fairytales so they left it alone. However, a small lil'kinz poodle named Curly decided to rip open the ribbon. As she tore and tore, it became colder and colder. Then, BABOOOOOM!!! It was snowing, lil'kinz were singing carols, Christmas trees were decorated and most of all, everyone was happier. Santa Claus came around the corner. He warned them that they could only have this winter for one week and one hour. The Webkinz didn't listen. After some time some of them became very cold. They couldn't play in the snow like they wanted to. Finally, one week and one day past, and they were so happy for the hot weather. They appreciated the heat more. And they learned that playing with the balance of nature isn't the best way to solve problems. From that day on, whenever someone felt the heat was too much, they enjoyed a popsicle.

How are you all doing? Here is my entry.

The webkinz were all exhausted from swimming all day. It had been so hot for the past week. They went to bed dreaming of last winter and how cold it was. When their alarm went off . .
they turned the clock off, and were feeling really cold. Everyone looked around the room at each other, with very puzzled looks. They could not figure out why in the middle of July, they were feeling so cold. Fluffy the bunny rabbit said, "I'll go check the thermostat, and make sure it's still working right." They also looked out the window, and noticed it was very windy and cloudy.
The temperature on the thermostat had dropped to 50 degrees. No wonder it they were feeling chilly.
Then when they opened the door to go and get the morning newspaper, it was freezing.
Angel, the Persian cat, went to get the outside thermostat, and noticed it was 26 degrees. Blueberry, the cheeky dog, says "LOL, this is hilarious."
Then Fluffy, the bunny rabbit, said, look snowflakes. Cookie, the American Cocker Spaniel said, "You are kidding right?"
Fluffy said, "No, take a look if you don't believe me." They did and said, "oh wow, this is very
strange." "Snow in the middle of July."
Prancer, the reindeer, said, "maybe this is because we went to bed last night watching the 'Christmas in July' specials on QVC. Frosty, the snowman, said, "Yes, sounds correct."
Blueberry, the cheeky dog, said, "LOL" Snuggles, the cream soda puppy, said, "I love Christmas, it is my favorite holiday." Peppy, the Peppermint Puppy, "Woof!"
Muffin, the lil' golden retriever and the youngest, is trying hard to stay warm.
Since Fluffy enjoys cooking, she went into the Kitchen to begin making breakfast for everyone. George, the Chimpanzee, enjoys cooking and helping others with things. He helped prepare breakfast. With the cold weather, they fixed some delicious warm brown sugar oatmeal, pancakes, eggs and sausage, hash browns and some nice warm honey-buttered biscuits.
While breakfast was cooking, Cookie and Muffin were thinking about what they should all do today. Angel, Peppy, Frosty, Prancer and even Muffin all have birthdays throughout the month of July. They also have the 4th of July to celebrate, but it is way too cold and with all the snow, to go outside much. They were all feeling in the mood for Christmas with the weather and Christmas in July on QVC. Since alot of the times we celebrate birthdays not on the exact date, they decided to celebrate Christmas early. So, that is what they decided on. They would have a Birthday, Christmas and 4th of July party.
For decorations, they decorated a Christmas tree, wreath and garland with red, white and blue lights for the 4th of July.
It was now 10am, and breakfast was ready. Fluffy, looked at George and asked him to let everyone know breakfast is ready. George said, "come on everyone, breakfast is ready."
Everyone comes to the table, and while eating, Cookie tells everyone what they decided to do.
After breakfast, they start getting ready for the party. They start decorating, and getting the food ready for the party. For food, they had cake, gingerbread men (which were decorated with red, white and blue icing), cupcakes, candy, cookies, pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, and some yummy stove top stuffing with gravy and some delicious crescent rolls. They also had music for the party.
The music was a variety of songs, 4th of July, Christmas and Birthday songs. Some of the songs were "White Christmas," "Let It Snow," "Jingle Bells," "The Star Spangled Banner," and a special Birthday song that Cookie wrote since she enjoys writing music.
After the party, everyone was worn out from all of the celebration. They all went straight to bed, and this time without the tv on watching "Christmas In July."

They hit the snooze button and went back to dreamland and continued their icy adventure.. They dreamed of how they had built igloos, went sledding, skiing, snowboarding, tubing. They dreamed of twirling on the frozen pond in their pure white ice skates. The were laughing and giggling as they made snow angels in the freshly fallen snow. They were just about to get a ride on the Zamboni at the Hockey Rink when they heard a noise thinking it was the Zamboni backing up but it was the sound of their alarm sounding again. This time they got out of their beds and ran to the kitchen and made Snow Cones
They shaved more ice and turned the air conditioner down real low so it would be frigid Brrrr... They made mini snowmen and hot chocolate. They didn't even realize it was over 100 degrees outside that day. They had an amazing day of cold fun.
That night they went to bed dreaming of how much fun they had that day and remembering how much fun they had the day before swimming!!

. . . they tumbled out of bed and stumbled off to the large vegetable garden. It was early, but everyone wanted to get the weeding done before the heat of the day set in.

As they worked, they noticed the sky darkening and felt the air getting cooler. “Hurry, everybody!” Cowabelle exclaimed. “It looks like we’re in for a downpour.” No sooner had she spoken than large drops of rain began to fall – plop … plop … plop, plop.

“To the Clubhouse,” Alex shouted. The webkinz dashed for their favorite nearby meeting spot, making it inside just as it began to rain webcats and webdogs.

“Great!,” Roberta grumbled. “Now what are we going to do?” The other webkinz looked glumly out the windows, listening to the heavy pitter patter of rain on the tin roof. “You know what that sounds like?” Sparky said. “Santa’s reindeer prancing around up there!”

“Santa in July?! Wow, Sparky, you really do have a great imagination,” Salley giggled.

“Hey,” Molly said slowly, “that might not be a bad idea.” The other webkinz looked at her, puzzled. “We could make our own Christmas in July,” she explained. “We have to stay inside today anyway. We could make some decorations and some special snacks, and play some games …. ”

The others’ eyes began to light up. “Cool!” “Great idea!” “I know just we can do!” “Christmas music!” “Presents!” The webkinz began to get more and more excited.

“Okay,” Cowabelle said, taking charge, “let’s split up. Alex, you and Sparky can plan some games. Molly and Roberta, can you make some yummy snacks? Nibbles, you and Stoogles are in charge of music and decorations. Salley, you’re with me; I’ve got a great idea for presents!”

Molly and Roberta ran off to the Super Chef room and started looking through the recipe books. Alex and Sparky huddled in the Games room, planning some super special games for the occasion. Nibbles rummaged through the music box, while Stoogles dug out old newspapers in the Reading Room. Cowabelle and Salley headed to the Collectors Room for some unique gifts.

Soon the Clubhouse was filled with the smell of delicious goodies and the sounds of whirring, crinkling, and popping. The webkinz laughed and sang along as their favorite Alvin & the Chipmunk’s Christmas music wafted through the rooms.

An hour later, everything was ready. The webkinz gathered in the Reading Room, where Stoogles had rolled out their special Christmas Snowflake Rug. All around the bookcases were piles and piles of shredded newspapers, looking like drifts of snow. “Perfect!” exclaimed Alex and Sparky, pouring out large bags full of ‘snowballs’ they’d made from wadded-up sheets of newspaper. “It’s time for a snowball fight!” For the next half hour, the air was full of flying snowballs and shouts of laughter.

Finally, the webkinz all dropped exhausted into the reading room chairs. “Wow, that was great!” Cowabelle cheered. “You guys really are Crafty Critters!”

Molly and Roberta carried in the special Christmasy treats they’d made – Trippple Hot Chocolate, Embrangled Crumdingle, and Black Forest Sandwich. “Mmmm,” they all drooled as they munched and crunched.

“And now, for our Christmas in July presents,” Cowabelle announced. She and Salley carried in a stack of oddly-wrapped gifts. “We’re going to have a White Elephant Chinese Gift Exchange!” Each of the webkinz drew numbers to get a gift to unwrap and trade. They began to bubble with laughter as they opened unique Mohawk Hairpieces, Cowboy Boots, Springtime Shoes, and Monkey Monkey t-shirts and posters. “Woah! Cool prizes,” someone shouted. “Gotta love us!” Roberta laughily answered.

When the gift trading was over, the webkinz realized the rain had stopped. “Guess our Christmas in July day is over,” Alex sighed. “For now, maybe,” Salley answered, "but I think we should start this as a new tradition every year!"
