Default Dress Pet Contest Question

I'm pretty computer illiterate. I have dressed my pet and taken a picture like I always do for these contest. This time when I click on the contest browse button and try to open my picture it says I have "exceeded the size limit". I looked in the rules and it says maximum is 200k and my picture says 227k. How do I lower it from 227 to 200? I've never had this problem before, I just took the picture and I'm not sure why it's 227 (I don't know what determines a size when you take the picture so I can correct it). Thanks for any help. I just went and looked to see if I could see what the difference is and my past pictures say they are 1280x800 and all my photos from the past 2 days say they are 3200x2000. I don't know how the size got changed when taking pictures and don't know how to get it back to 1280 x 800. I don't even know if that's what the problem is. Help!

Default Re: Dress Pet Contest Question

I'm only semi-literate! My first suggestion would be to make sure you have saved it as a .jpg file. All others seem to be too large. My only other thought would be to use a web hosted photo program like Photobucket. There you can edit the size of your pic.

I am sure others will chime in also.

first make sure it's saved as a JPEG file! that usually does the trick.

second, if the physical size is too large, if you open it in Paint, then go to Image- Stretch/Skew, then change the percentages each to like 50%, 50%, that'll shrink the physical size of your picture and cut the size down by half. if you don't want to cut it down that much only a little then try 80% and 80% and that'll only shrink the physical size down a little.

Good luck!
