I am not crazy about the e-store either. I have only bought the Charms from there and that's only so I could gain access to the Charm Forrest because the charms were gone before I started webkinz. I believe Ganz should be making this stuff available through WW because I am kind of tired of the same ol things. I have had Webkinz for only about 5 months and I love them I am up to 70 webkinz now but it seems I have to duplicate all my rooms now and that's what upsets me. Ganz should worry about bringing us loyal everyday online webkinz players new items instead of all these virtual items to pay real money for. I really just don't like the e-store.
I don't really like the idea of the eStore either, mostly because I think it's WAY overpriced for what I see as just "little pictures". I wanted a charm to gain access to the forest though, so I got one, and was forced to buy another item (minimum order of $5), so I also got the Grey Wolf. But now I'm done -- I'll probably never buy anything else from the eStore because of the completely ridiculous prices.
Yes, the charms has lead in them. That's why they stopped making them. As for the estore, some people like it, some don't. I just think it's too overpriced.
I think the estore would be okay if the things were cheaper. $9 for a virtual thing? 12$ for a webkinz without the plushie? I do like some of the stuff from the e-store but it is too overpriced. The only thing I might buy is the charm codes. The real charms were discontinued to be tested for lead. I dont think it is fair to sell virtual items for that much! I wish we could buy the stuff in the e-store with wish tokens.
I agree that the E Store is a bad idea. I too like to be able to buy something tangable that I can actually hold in my hand. It's a shame folks are having to resort to buying the virtual charms now. Even though the originals had lead in them, they could have been reissued lead free. There are other metals that could have been used. But, hey, its cheeper for Ganz to charge for virtual charms now. They are making a profit and they dont have any production costs on a "real" item. Ok, I vented. I feel better now!
