Trading Room Scams to Watch For

I was on the webkinz newz and saw someone post this:
"anyone want rare super-food?I have prismamunch,nubulumyum,and stircarunch.if u want any of these hard-2-get foods,meet me in the clubhouse at 9:00 kinztime in the trading room in the clubhouse room 1 pink zone."
I think someone fell for it!!

I found another one!!

"Does anybody have the plumpy doll? If yes tell me your UserName And I will add you,And how do you know it was me? I will send you somthing small,And after you send me the plumpy doll I will send you somthing big and GREAT!"

how about the one where the scammers say: give me something great and your pass word and i will give you a million kc, i got scammed by this a couple of times when i was smaller

I have an example of 7 that I experienced:

yep. *puts up wshop item*

(since I figured this person was going to scam me, I went along with it) Wow thats so cool!
*puts up "rare item"*

I like your "rare item" *presses ready to trade*

okay, but can you exit out of trade and invite me back again? ( I wanted to double check that it was in the wshop)

ok I guess?

*exits outta trade and goes to wshop* ( yep the item was there)

(And kinda figured I was going to double check because they didn't re-invite me and they left the room)

I got hit with #3 in the Park yesterday, actually. Here's how it went:
=me =scammer (Not actual pets involved)

: I went into the park and started picking up trash.
: "Hi where did you get your clothes?"
: "eStore."
: "Send me them please?"
: "No thanks they cant be sent."
: "Do you have other rare clothes?"
: "Yes."
: "Please send me because my mom works for webkinz and I will send you a bunch of rare stuff."
: "No way, sorry."

Then he/she went and tried to scam other people. It didn't really make sense to me because if his/her mom worked for ganz, then they could just get my prince costume.

Someone yesterday said:

" Come to room tin ( ten) and revive free Wacky!!!!"

The room was packed, i couldn't get in!!! some people fall for people who don't tell the truth.

I just got ripped off a few days ago by this one

Watch out for an animal that has solar boots that she says changes colors which they don't i wish i could get them off her hands so nobody would get ripped off.

Truth Test

Some pets like to be tedious and careful with their scams, others just flat out lie. Pets offer something huge and wonderful for another item that has lower value. Of course the person who is being offered takes it. As they get ready to trade though, the other person won't show the offer, but instead, does the truth test. He or she says along the lines, "OK this is a test to see if you are worthy to receive the offer, it's just a test OK? Now I'm going to put up some WShop. You click trade, i click trade. You confirm and i reject. Got it? Fortunately neither me or any of the other victims were scammed when I got hit with the truth test about a week ago.

I've been seeing the truth test a lot lately. I had one ask me to take it. I told them no I wasn't falling for that. Then they got all shocked falling for what? I would never lie. Yeah right LOL

Unfortunately I saw 3 webkinz that got scammed by a hop bunny the other night. They all traded the bunny their best items because it promised to send them 3 super beds to one and shutter shades to one, not sure on the other. Of course no one got anything and I came in after it happened so I couldn't warn them or stop it. I did report the bunny and told them to do the same under trade problem and was able to warn all the others in the room not to fall for it.

Sad people will lie and cheat to get items that aren't even real. All of them need to be suspended and Ganz needs to suspsend and block all the accounts on their ISP since most are smart enough not to use their main accounts to scam with. While I feel for the ones scammed it is better they learn the hard truth not to trust internet people on something safe like WW then on facebook or somewhere that can be a lot more dangerous for them. Maybe they'll think twice before trusting someone on another site.

How about the wrong item scam?

This happened to me a few days ago.

Here is what happened (not actual pets)

*invites me to trade*

Hello! what are you looking for today?

super rare stuff

*puts up a few items*

Do you need these?

Yes. *offers a few items*

Wow I love those, trade?

OK

*Clicks ready to trade*

*Switches his items with food then clicks Trade*

Sorry but I don't need those, I need your other items.

These are my other items!!

It doesn't look like it.

Yes just trade and when we are done trading you will see those items! I swear!

Sorry, no thank you, thanks for your time. Bye!

Than I left, someone younger could easily get scammed by this, this doesn't happen that often but some people actually try to scam with this technique.
